A massive trade proposal has a surprise AFC team acquiring San Francisco 49ers star wide receiver Deebo Samuel that would give them the league’s No. 1 offense.
Deebo Samuel, who’s coming off a disappointing 2024 campaign, has been subject of trade rumors for several months now. The 2021 Pro Bowler tallied just 806 yards of offense, his lowest mark since 2020 when he put up 417 in seven game appearances.
The unexpected emergence of Jauan Jennings (975 receiving yards) and the presence of 2024 first-round pick Ricky Pearsall makes Samuel expendable on a 49ers offense that also features Christian McCaffrey, George Kittle and Brandon Aiyuk.
The MLFootball X/Twitter account proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has San Francisco trading Deebo Samuel to the Miami Dolphins in exchange for 2025 fourth and sixth-round draft picks.
Such a move would give the Tua Tagovailoa-led offense a WR trio of Samuel, Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle, not to mention the dynamic running back duo of Raheem Mosert and De’Von Achane.
Tagovailoa missed six games to injury, and Miami’s offense struggled mightily without him. Both Hill (959 receiving yards) and Waddle (744 yards) performed well below their usual standards, but it wouldn’t hurt GM Chris Grier to add another explosive pass-catcher like Deebo Samuel.
The 49ers may be motivated to trade the 29-year-old Samuel as a way to free up cap space, with Brock Purdy eligible for a contract extension as he heads into the final year of his rookie deal.
Deebo Samuel Would Make Dolphins Super Bowl Contenders
When healthy, the Miami offense (Waddle, Hill, Achane and Mostert in particular) have overwhelmed defenses with their combination of lightning-quick speed. Now imagine if opposing teams had to account for a do-it-all playmaker like Samuel as well.
Don’t forget that McDaniel was on the 49ers’ coaching staff during Samuel’s first three NFL seasons (2019 to 2021). That included one year as the OC in 2021, when Samuel had his career year.

Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson has emerged as one of the most prominent figures in women’s basketball. Her outstanding achievements and dominant performances on the court have boosted her confidence in her skills. However, this confidence has recently caused her some trouble, as NBA fans criticized her for a recent statement she made.
In a recent episode of the “Roommates” show, Wilson stunned both the NBA and WNBA by claiming that she could defeat New York Knicks star Josh Hart in a one-on-one matchup. Additionally, she predicted that the final score would be 11-8.
“Score would be 11-8, me. I’m not saying you gonna go scoreless, 8 to 11 is pretty solid. So, what do you think it’ll be, Josh?” Wilson said.
Although Josh and Wilson both had a good laugh during their conversation, Wilson’s comment stirred up the basketball community. “She’d lose 11-0 w him only playing w his offhand,” one fan said.
