Could Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter go back to school? Not a chance, but he did mention it during a recent stream when speaking on NIL money.
Carson Beck’s massive reported NIL figures have the former Colorado Buffaloes star reconsidering his decision to declare for the NFL draft.
Beck, who spent four years in Georgia, transferred to Miami last week and has reportedly earned nearly $10 million in NIL deals over the past year, with the $4 million he’s expected to get from the Hurricanes.
Travis Hunter was completely stunned by those numbers.
“How do you get $10 million? Where’s my $10 million? How are people getting this much money, bro? Hold up, let me go test this out,” Hunter joked on The Travis Hunter Show (31:00 mark). “Let me go back. I’m going back to college. Let me see if I can get $100 million. Let me go see if I can win another Heisman because $10 million, I ain’t make that in college. Let me go hit the portal.”

Hunter could most certainly make that much, if not more, if he went back, but the best decision for him and his bank account would be to take his talents to the NFL.
He’s widely projected to be one of the first players off the board in the draft.
Beck, a fifth-year senior, compiled a 24-3 record as Georgia’s starting quarterback over the past two seasons. Despite an inconsistent 2024 campaign, he is now able to have a fresh start with the Hurricanes, who would love to have him now that Cam Ward is headed to the league.
Where Will Travis Hunter Land In The NFL Draft?
In a league where the quarterback position is priority number one, where does that a leave a dynamic two-way player?
The top three teams in the draft most certainly need a quarterback before anything else. That could leave Travis Hunter out of the mix.
Then things will get interesting with the Patriots at No. 4, as they could pull the trigger and take Hunter.
Even Jacksonville at No. 5 could take the dynamic cornerback and wide receiver.
As we have seen in many years past, teams are likely to trade up or down, so Hunter could very well finish in the top three.

Adrian Peterson is in some legal hot water, with authorities in Fort Bend County, Texas, issuing warrants in his name.
According to USA Today, the warrants are out as a result of the former NFL MVP failing to appear in court for two separate child support cases.
“The current legal case is related to a misunderstanding regarding Adrian’s court appearances as it relates to child support, and he is actively working with his legal team to resolve this matter as quickly as possible,” Peterson’s publicist Denise White told the publication.
“He is committed to clearing up this situation and moving forward positively.”
