Despite not being in college anymore, Golden State Valkyries player Kate Martin still keeps in touch with her Iowa teammates. Her former teammate, Kylie Feuerbach, posted photos of her final year at Iowa on New Year’s Day, along with her 2024 memories. Martin sent love in the comments section of Feuerbach’s post.
Martin and Feuerbach played together at the Iowa Hawkeyes for three seasons and formed a close friendship. One of the photos from the Instagram post featured the former Las Vegas Aces guard.
Kate Martin replied in the comments by sending a couple of smiling face with hearts emojis.

Feuerbach started her college career at Iowa State during the 2020–21 season. She played 28 games, averaging 5.5 and 3.1. After one season, she transferred and joined the Hawkeyes for the 2021-22 season. She appeared in 32 games, averaging 3.4 points, 1.3 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
However, she missed the following season as she dealt with a torn ACL. That was the same season the Hawkeyes reached the NCAA title game. Feuerbach returned from injury during the 2023–24 season. She averaged 3.7 points and 1.8 assists.
Last year, she graduated from Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in business, and pictures of her graduation were also included in her recap post.
“Officially my last week as an undergrad!” Feuerbach posted. “What a blessing it is to be a Hawkeye. I love this place💛”

The Indiana Fever star posted photos condensing everything that happened to her last year. This included her 2024 draft selection, playing as an All-Star in her rookie year, and many more.
According to Clark, the past year was the best year for her.
“My fav moments from the best year. Time to make 2025 even better🖤📓💫,” Clark posted on IG.
As she reflected on the events of the year, Martin had this to say:
“What a year,” Martin commented.
Kate Martin had a 3-word reaction to the year 2024
In 2024, Martin played her sixth and final season with Iowa. She helped the team reach the national championship game but came short against the South Carolina Gamecocks. After her final year, she was drafted by the Aces in the second round of the WNBA draft.
Martin averaged 2.6 points and 1.6 rebounds while shooting 35.5% from beyond the arc in 34 games during her rookie campaign. She only participated in one postseason game and finished with no assists, rebounds, or points.
The Golden State Valkyries acquired Martin as part of the league’s expansion draft over the summer.
