Instead, all eyes are on Julia Bachetti, the University of Maine’s freshman goaltender, who has taken social media by storm. A recent image of Bachetti, posted on X (formerly Twitter), has gone viral, with fans flooding the comments in admiration.
Bachetti, who started 17 games in her debut season for the Black Bears, has already proven her skills on the ice with seven wins and two shutouts. The 2023-24 season saw her lead Maine’s goaltenders in total saves, racking up an impressive 465 stops. But while her athletic performance speaks for itself, it’s her off-ice appeal that has the hockey world buzzing.

Beyond the online frenzy, Julia Bachetti’s resume is nothing short of elite. Before joining Maine, she played for Kitchener-Waterloo U22 Elite, where she posted a 1.28 goals-against average and a .960 save percentage, alongside four shutouts. She also competed with Team Ontario Red, winning gold at the Central Challenge Cup and earning a spot at the OWHA U18 High Performance Camp.
Off the ice, Bachetti is equally accomplished. A former honor roll student with a 3.93 GPA, she spends summers coaching young goalies and enjoys golf in her free time. Her favorite Netflix show? Outer Banks.
While the internet may be fixated on her looks, Julia Bachetti’s performance in net proves she’s far more than just a viral moment. With her skill and growing fanbase, the freshman standout is set to be a major name in women’s hockey for years to come.

During the most recent NFL Draft in Detroit, social media was buzzing as athletes showed up to the red carpet event with their girlfriends and family. Many of the incoming NFL rookies were African-American and were spotted with white women, which has become the usual theme for years.
The same thing happens with the NBA Draft.
This year, the discourse on the NFL Draft and NBA Draft has gotten even louder as African-American women openly pondered why so many of the players never have a partner that is the same race as them.
One guy on TikTok decided to answer that question by revealing that the vast majority of his division-1 friends in college or headed to the league are dating or married to white women and explained why.
He stated that some of them had told him that their white girlfriend looked up to Taylor Swift while their girlfriend looked up to Megan The Stallion. He then states the guy asks how many white women he has seen doing the Megan Thee Stallion challenge as opposed to Black women.
He then dove into another story of a friend who relayed that his Black girlfriend started to request money from him as soon as she found out about his NIL money. She wanted her hair and nails done. He then added that the Black women would be upset if they went to places like Chipotle, and she demanded steak houses.
