One of the comedians involved in the epic roast of former NFL superstar Tom Brady on Sunday has asked the seven-time Super Bowl winner’s ex-wife for forgiveness… sort of.
Nikki Glaser, who was widely considered to be the funniest roaster on show during the live Netflix event, does not regret her performance. She believes Brady’s divorce was fair game but hopes Gisele Bundchen forgives her.
Bundchen is understood to be unhappy with the jokes about her split from Brady, but it would have been difficult to roast the guy without bringing his divorce up. It was the source of lots of content, though some felt like a line was crossed.
TMZ spoke to Glaser outside the set of ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’ in Hollywood on Tuesday, and she said she is a huge fan of Gisele and hopes she can forgive her one day if she was upset.
The publication noted: “Glaser says she tried not to go too hard on GB … and, she actually hopes the supermodel can forgive her one day if she’s upset … ’cause she says she loves her a ton.”
Nikki Glaser Says Gisele Bundchen Roasted Her First
Glaser also joked that Gisele Bundchen deserved it because she’d been roasting her for years by simply being alive.
“Nikki also cracks a joke here … saying Bündchen actually deserved the roast swipes — because she’s roasted Nikki for years just by existing — with her looks, putting NG to shame,” TMZ adds.
The comedian pointed out that everything’s fair in roasts, though she would be open to apologizing if she ever runs into Gisele and feels like she has to.
Meanwhile, Nikki has revealed that Brady’s kids were the only off-limit topic on Sunday, which was a great touch.
