The FBI seems to be closing in on the people responsible for burglarizing the homes of professional athletes.
The disturbing trend of celebrity athletes’ homes being broken into has continued. Luka Doncic has joined a long list that also includes Patrick Mahomes, Joe Burrow, Travis Kelce, Bobby Portis Jr., Tyler Seguin, and Dak Prescott.
The Mavericks superstar had his home broken into Friday night as he reportedly had jewelry valued at around $30,000 stolen, according to a police report obtained by the Dallas Morning News.
“No one was home at the time, and thankfully Luka and his family are safe,” Doncic’s business manager Lara Beth Seager told the newspaper. “Luka has filed a police report, and an investigation is ongoing.”
The home of Tyler Seguin, a longtime Dallas Stars leader and seven-time NHL All-Star, was burglarized last month.
Before that, Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce had their homes hit. Joe Burrow’s home and Dak Prescott’s fiancee’s car would be next.
The FBI thinks is sure they know exactly who is behind all of this.
The Federal Bureau of Investigations believes South American organized crime groups were reportedly behind the break-ins at the homes of professional athletes over the course of recent months, per The Los Angeles Times.
The report said the groups conduct “physical and technical surveillance” to prep for the burglaries and then utilize social media to get an idea of where and when a person will leave their home, which is when they decide to strike.
FBI Sends Out Warning To Professional Sports Leagues Over String of Burglaries
The FBI is desperately trying to catch the people involved with targeting professional athletes.
It has gotten so bad that they have issued a notice to sports leagues to inform them on how to protect themselves from future crimes.
The advisory details how at least nine professional athletes were targeted at their homes across the country between September and November.
The FBI further warned that the behavior exhibited was consistent with past practices employed by international criminal organizations.
VIDEO: NFL Fans Want Refs Severely Punished After Footage Shows They Allowed The Commanders To Get Away With “The Most Obvious” Penalty vs. The Eagles

NFL fans have had it up to here with the officiating this season and were calling for the referees who worked Sunday’s game between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles to be suspended.
The Commanders claimed an important win on the day, clinching a 10th victory with a late 36-33 result on a last-ditch touchdown. However, fans were upset as it appeared that the refs missed a blatant false start on the play, which ended up being the dagger for Washington as they went ahead with the TD.
Washington’s right tackle moved before the ball was snapped, but NFL refs are told to cut linemen a little slack in such cases, which is why FOX’s Greg Olsen thought it was a good no-call.
