Robert Griffin III Got Brutally Roasted Over His Failed Marriage

Robert Griffin III has this thing on social media where he tells his followers, “This is a safe space,” before he asks a question.

That was the theme this week when he took to his X account and asked his followers if they believed in God. He wanted to know the reason why or why they didn’t.

One Twitter troll fired back, saying, “Did you believe in God when your anterior cruciate ligament was torn?”

Robert Griffin III’s NFL story can’t be told without mentioning injuries.

The No. 2 overall pick in the 2012 NFL Draft won Rookie of the Year but was never the same after knee injuries sustained late in that first season with Washington.

In 2009, he tore his right ACL while still in college. In 2013, he tore his right ACL, LCL, and Meniscus.

The fan then roasted him by stating, “Did you talk to God after cheating on your pregnant ex-wife, Robert?”

Ouch.

Controversy seems to find Robert Griffin III no matter what he is trying to do.

The 2012 No. 2 overall pick had a stellar rookie season, but an injury would pretty much ensure that his career would never be the same.

Being a celebrity means your personal life will always be in the limelight.

TMZ reported back in 2016 that the QB’s first wife was blindsided by his filing for divorce and the fact that he already had his new girlfriend’s name tattooed on his arm.

There were reports that he cheated on his wife, so he took to Twitter back then to clear things up.

Griffin wrote in a since-deleted tweet: “Set the record straight. My marriage failed. No home wrecking/cheating. So stop coming at my girl and my daughter with that nonsense.”
