Cameron Brink was one of the most highly touted players in the already historic 2024 WNBA Draft class. Coming out of Stanford, Brink was a three-time All-American and helped the Cardinal to a national championship in her freshman season.
Just 15 games into her rookie season, Brink suffered a season-ending ACL tear, forcing her to miss most of her first WNBA campaign. Brink underwent surgery to repair her ACL, and the LA Sparks star is gearing up for her second WNBA season.
On Friday, Cameron Brink celebrated the New Year with a post on Instagram, mentioning her ‘new knee’ in the caption.
“New year, new knee & 23,” Brink captioned her post, celebrating her New Year’s Eve birthday.
Fellow WNBA star Sabrina Ionescu and Olympian gymnast Suni Lee shared comments on Brink’s post.

“Cheers to 23,” the Sparks commented to Brink’s post.
Cameron Brink joins fellow WNBA stars in the Unrivaled League
On Dec. 17, Unrivaled announced the addition of Cameron Brink to the 36-player league, filling the first wildcard. Brink was the 31st player to join the league, joining the likes of Breanna Stewart, Napheesa Collier and Sabrina Ionescu, among other WNBA stars.
Unrivaled was created by Stewart and Collier and is set to tip off its inaugural season on Jan. 17. The league will follow a 3×3 format, playing on a smaller court than a regulation WNBA court.
Brink joins fellow stars from the 2024 Draft Class, Rickea Jackson and Angel Reese, and is the final rookie to join the league. Due to her ACL injury, Brink will not suit up in the first season of Unrivaled but will take the court for the Lunar Owls Basketball Club in 2026.
Cameron Brink will continue her offseason rehab and prepare to take the court for her second WNBA season in May.
