Shedeur Sanders has been among the most followed athletes throughout the 2024 college football season. He helped lead his Colorado Buffaloes to the Alamo Bowl, where they would unfortunately fall to BYU.
The 23-year-old quarterback and son of legendary NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders had a stellar showing in 2024. He finished the college football season throwing for over 4,100 yards, 37 touchdowns, and just ten interceptions.
During the season, many thought Shedeur Sanders would secure a spot as a top-five prospect in the upcoming 2025 NFL Draft. However, according to some recent reports, this may no longer be true for the Buffaloes signal caller.
During an appearance on NFL Live, NFL Draft Analyst Mike Miller suggested that Shedeur may be the third-ranked quarterback in this year’s draft. He claimed that some draft boards have Miami quarterback Cam Ward and Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart at one and two, respectively.
Has Jaxson Dart Passed Shedeur Sanders In The Draft Rankings?

“I think the big conversation, who’s QB3 in the 2025 NFL Draft,” Miller said while talking with On3, before adding, “It seems as if Miami’s Cam Ward has established himself as the top passer. But I’ve talked to three NFL scouts this week who believe Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart has a shot to leave the Combine as QB2, which would push Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders to the third spot in this year’s draft class.”
Miller seemed to suggest that he still has Dart ranked as the third-best quarterback in the NFL Draft, “I have him ranked as the third quarterback in this draft. But as teams dive into the tape, as they get past things like the Senior Bowl and prep for the Combine, Jaxson Dart has a lot of buzz pushing him up in that direction.”
While there hasn’t been any confirmation on where either Dart or Sanders may end up in the NFL Draft, wherever either quarterback lands, they will undoubtedly impact their respective NFL squads in week one in 2025.
