The NBA superstar couldn’t believe his rival’s attitude with a fan
Golden State Warriors superstar Stephen Curry is one of the most popular and beloved NBA players around the world. His superb shooting skills and undeniable will to win has gained him the respect from his peers and the people that watched him give his heart out to the game since he entered the league in 2009.
During his 16 career seasons in the NBA he has won the championship four times with a Finals MVP as well, he has won the Most Valuable Player award twice and he has been selected to the All-Star Game 10 times, from 2014 to 2024.
He’s also been named AP Athlete of the Year in 2015 and Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year in 2018 and 2022. This summer him, LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Anthony Edwards, Kevin Durant and the rest of the USA Basketball Men’s Olympic Team won the gold medal, a Curry’s first.
Steph’s outraged at the Toronto Raptors’ attitude towards a kid
The Golden State Warriors played the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena Monday night, with the home team getting the victory 104-101. Despite the loss, Curry broke a tie with NBA legend Allen Iverson for 28th on the NBA’s all-time scoring list.
But there was a moment before the game that caused outrage and disbelief for some fans and Curry himself. The Raptors invited a kid to hang out with Toronto’s players during warm-ups but before the young fan could step on the court, the team’s personnel asked him to take off his Golden State Warriors jersey, which happened to be No. 30, the number Curry wears.
The boy couldn’t believe it but he took off his jersey and put on a red T-shirt with the Raptors logo. The kid looked shocked and uncomfortable because he was clearly not a fan of Toronto’s basketball team, but he still had to abide by the Raptors rules.
“Look how sad he is! Come on, now. Usually they said ‘you made that kid’s night.” They’ve ruined his night! That’s rough. Came in as a Curry fan and having them denied your true loyalty. That’s not right! Where is the Curry’s jersey, why do adults ruin things for kids?” a TV commentator said in regards to the Raptors gesture.
The Warriors are having a tough time
With the loss to the Toronto Raptors, the Golden State Warriors fell to below .500 for the first time this season (19-20), dropping to 9-10 on the road this season (1-2 on the team’s current four-game road trip). Golden State has lost eight of their last 10 away from home.
The Warriors fell to 0-7 this season when hitting below 40% from the field (.398). Stephen Curry tallied 26 points, seven rebounds and seven assists, passing Allen Iverson (24,368 career points) for 28th place on the NBA’s all-time scoring list (24,371) and Kobe Bryant (6,306 career assists) for 35th place on the NBA’s all-time assists list (6,308).

Golden State desperately needs to turn things around if they want to have a shot at the NBA title this year. They are currently at the 11th spot on the loaded Western Conference, well behind better teams like the Phoenix Suns, the Sacramento Kings and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
The 74th NBA All-Star Game will take place at Chase Center (home of the Golden State Warriors) on Sunday, February 16, 2025, and additional signature NBA All-Star events will take place throughout the weekend at numerous locations across the Bay Area.
New Orleans Pelicans Stun The NBA By Trading Superstar Brandon Ingram To NBA Heavyweight In Blockbuster Trade Proposal

With the New Orleans Pelicans enduring another tremendously disappointing season, star big man Brandon Ingram is another name to follow in the trade rumor mill.
The Pelicans enter Thursday as the worst team in the Western Conference (5-22), with only the Washington Wizards (3-21) displaying an inferior record. It’s clear that a rebuild is necessary in NOLA, and that would start with trading core players like Brandon Ingram and/or Zion Williamson.
Svyatoslav Rovenchuk of Athlon Sports recently proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has New Orleans trading Ingram and Jeremiah Robinson-Earl to the powerhouse Golden State Warriors in exchange for Jonathan Kuminga, Gary Payton II, Kevon Looney and De’Anthony Melton:
“The swap allows the Warriors to add another All-Star caliber player around Curry. Meanwhile, the Pelicans land a worthwhile young prospect and a handful of expiring contracts. One could argue that Golden State would need to add some sort of draft pick compensation too, but given Ingram’s modest value, Kuminga may offer more than enough appeal to not have to do so.”
