NFL fans are having a field day with color commentator Cris Collinsworth after his savage comment about women right after Harrison Butker missed an extra point.
On 3rd & 7, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes connected with JuJu Smith-Schuster near the 7-yard line, and the wide receiver powered his way into the end zone to extend Kansas City’s lead.
However, Harrison Butker missed the extra point, hitting the right upright to keep the game a one-score game.
Right after he missed, Cris Collinsworth decided to mention women enjoying football.
The timing of Collinsworth’s comments didn’t go unnoticed on social media:

If you cannot remember, Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker sparked controversy, anger, and discussion after he decided to go off against working women, the LGBTQ+ community, and “degenerate cultural values” in a commencement speech at Benedictine College during the offseason.
Collinsworth clearly referred to this when he brought up women right after his missed kick.
Despite what people may think about Cris Collinsworth and his commentary, NBC certainly sees the value in having him around.
Collinsworth is reportedly set to stay with NBC through the end of the decade, including the network’s next two Super Bowl games.
NBC is expected to sign Sunday Night Football analyst Cris Collinsworth to a contract extension through the 2029–30 season.
