ESPN’s Mina Kimes hasn’t gotten her year off to the best start as she totally embarrassed herself on live television on Monday.
Kimes, a staple on the network’s ‘NFL Live’ show, is a consummate professional who excels at her job, but even pros can fail to find a sense of where the cameras are sometimes, which was the case with Kimes this week.
Host Laura Rutledge was asking Adam Schefter a question about the Baltimore Ravens when Kimes got up and walked across the camera.
“Hey, Mina. Get it girl,” Rutledge said, dancing and going with the flow.
“Oh, go back one more time. There we go. All right,” she continued as Kimes retraced her steps and sat back down.
“Just have Mina keep walking back and forth in the shot,” Schefter joked. “That’s excellent television.”
Mina Kimes Was Mortified
The 39-year-old buried her head in her hands, with Marcus Spears coming over to put an arm around her while she laughed.
“Adam you look way too happy here,” she was finally able to say.
Rutledge, also overtaken by laughter, was able to steer the conversation back to the Ravens as she asked about Zay Flowers, who hurt his knee during Saturday’s division-clincher against the Cleveland Browns.
Kimes likely thought she was off camera and was trying to excuse herself from the segment, but she will be more aware of her surroundings the next time she tries to slip away from a desk during a show.
In her defense, she’s probably lost a lot of sleep since giving birth to a baby boy in December.

The San Antonio Spurs have a few issues at the camp, and 12-time NBA All-Star guard Chris Paul knows them well. The veteran point guard is keen to team up with a Sacramento Kings star amid rising trade speculation ahead of the deadline.
Recent reports have surfaced suggesting that Paul wants to bring in De’Aaron Fox to San Antonio. After their lackluster performance this season, the Spurs are eager to make moves to enhance their playoff prospects. Although this trade looks possible for a few reasons. The Spurs have expressed interest in acquiring Fox, and so he has already declined a lucrative contract extension.
NBA insider Marc Stein claimed, “The Texas team is more likely to pursue a down-the-road Fox trade.” According to league insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson’s Monday report, Paul would welcome the opportunity to join forces with Fox.
“Something else I’ve heard: Chris Paul would like to team up with De’Aaron Fox in San Antonio,” league insider Brandon “Scoop B” Robinson wrote on Monday.
However, CP is in the final leg of his storied basketball career. He also views Fox as a long-term co-star for San Antonio alongside Victor Wembanyama.
