The Los Angeles Lakers suffered their second consecutive defeat, falling to the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. Despite another standout performance from Luka Doncic, the Lakers were unable to keep pace, ultimately losing 115-146.
Throughout the game, Doncic displayed visible frustration with the officiating. One particular moment in the third quarter sparked his anger when Kevin Huerter pushed him from behind. Luka was left disappointed as the officials remained silent.
During a timeout, Doncic confronted the referees and walked back to the offensive end. His emotions got the better of him, and in the heat of the moment, he accidentally struck Josh Giddey. It resulted in a technical foul for the Lakers star.
The Serbian superstar was still fuming over the lack of calls. He openly expressed his stance, warning the officials about his approach moving forward.
“He hits me first, I’m gonna hit him back. That’s bull****,” he stated to the refs.
Despite the controversial calls, Donic delivered another brilliant individual performance, finishing with 34 points, eight rebounds, and six assists. He shot an efficient 10-of-18 from the field and 6-of-8 from the free-throw line.

Luka Doncic’s performance against the Milwaukee Bucks on March 13 left a strong impression on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s brother, Thanasis Antetokounmpo. Speaking on his podcast, Thanalysis, Thanasis recently expressed his admiration for Doncic’s leadership and dominance, calling it his best game since joining the Lakers.
“I loved it because I think it was his best game with the Lakers jersey. And him, just showing his greatness, no LeBron in the building. Just him leading the team,” said Thanasis.
Since being traded midseason by the Dallas Mavericks, Doncic has been determined to prove his value and silence any doubts about his ability to shine outside of Dallas. In that game, Luka scored 45 points and 11 rebounds, though the Lakers ended the game with a 126-106 loss.
