Prince Harry touched down in Angola on Wednesday to walk across live minefields in a poignant tribute to his late mother â but his wife Meghan Markle was noticeably absent – and a royal insider has pinpointed the reason. The Duke of Sussex is retracing Princess Dianaâs iconic 1997 visit to promote the work of British demining charity the Halo Trust. However, a source said Meghan was never going to join him, citing serious concerns over her safety.
They explained: âThe Duke wonât let his wife go to England over security concerns, so there was no chance heâd allow her to go to Angola to walk across landmines.â The trip comes as Prince Harry attempts to keep his charity work in the spotlight while interest in the coupleâs royal feud continues to swirl. The source, speaking to the Daily Mail, also suggested the Duke sees Halo Trust as his “own thing” and wants to keep it that way â with or without Meghan.

Queen Camilla beams in new picture released to mark her 78th birthday
Queen Camilla is all smiles in a new picture released to mark her 78th birthday. Leaning against a gate in the garden of her private Wiltshire home, Her Majesty beams as she looks head-on at the camera.
She is wearing a striking tropical rainforest print dress by Fiona Clare, which features wildlife motifs and a bold leafy pattern that makes her blue eyes pop. While the framing of the picture with her hands clasped together means her art deco engagement ring takes centre stage.
