Morning Live presenter Rebecca Mason has shared that she was in a car accident this summer and is still recovering.
Rebecca, a former detective who frequently appears on the BBC show to provide advice on criminal matters, was on the programme as it returned from its summer hiatus on Monday, September 1.
She was there to guide viewers on what to do if they find themselves in a car accident, and presenter Helen Skelton, who was hosting alongside Welsh star Gethin Jones, commented: “This actually happened to you in the summer, good to see you are looking alright, at the minute.”
Rebecca responded: “Thank you, yeah, I mean, there is still bruised, still a bit of damage there, but I was relatively lucky, yeah, it was scary.”
She was then comforted by fellow panellist, celebrity doctor Dr Punam Krishan, reports Wales Online.

She continued: “It was so much to process, and even afterwards, getting behind the wheel again, it’s the little things, you don’t think it will happen to you.”
Morning Live also displayed images from the cr@sh, showing both cars involved were severely damaged, with one car completely missing its roof.
Rebecca explained that the driver of the other car had a medical episode, which led them to swerve head-on into her car in what Helen described as a “horrific” car cr@sh. She confessed that it was “quite hard” to view the images of the accident.
It’s been a challenging summer for Gethin as well, following the death of his father, Goronwy Jones. Gethin paid a touching tribute to his late father, expressing gratitude to the NHS for their care during his illness.
He shared that his dad had been “poorly for a while” but his “importance of faith” and “his love for classical music” stayed with him until his final moments. Gethin also spoke fondly of his father’s passion for rugby, a love he shared with his son.
Describing him as a “strict and direct” yet “always reasonable” person, Gethin revealed that Goronwy had been an educator for 40 years and a headmaster for 28 years.

He said: “‘Wales defeated England..’ (the famous line from Max Boyce) – Hymns and Arias with dad last night, before he left us this morning. The most perfect, peaceful end. Welsh hymns playing, and the grandsons on speaker phone saying goodbye.
“Dad was poorly for a while, he put up a good fight, incredible really. It was so nice to see his dry humour, the importance of faith, and his love for classical music shine through at the end.
“Every day I’ve been at the Heath Hospital in Cardiff, someone would stop me and ask me about dad. He probably taught them at some point. He made a big impact on education in these parts over a long period of time.
“He was strict and direct, always reasonable. A teacher for 40 years, a headteacher for 28!”
