The One Show host Alex Jones has announced a scheduling change for the BBC programme.
Thursday evening’s broadcast proceeded as normal, but as it concluded, the presenter revealed the show would be “off air” on Friday (May 22), reports the Mirror.
While the magazine-style show usually airs Monday to Friday at 7pm, Alex explained this week’s final episode would not be shown due to Chelsea Flower Show coverage.
She also disclosed that when the programme resumes next week, it will air at an altered time
Alex, who was presenting alongside co-host Roman Kemp, said as the show ended: “We are off air tomorrow to make way for the Chelsea Flower Show, but we will be back on Monday at the earlier time of 6.30pm.”

Thursday’s episode featured guests including Tom Allen, who appeared on the sofa to discuss his debut novel, Common Decency, and former EastEnders actress Natalie Cassidy.
The actress, best recognised for portraying Sonia in the BBC soap, discussed her choice to enrol at college to train as a carer following her experience caring for her father before his death.
She explained: “I have just been growing up with care all my life. My nan lived with me. My mum cared for my nan.

“And yeah, my dad, right up until the end of his life, lived with me, and I cared for him.”
“So this is a real, real important passion project for me,” she added.
The programme also featured interviews with the four remaining duos competing for the £20,000 prize in the current series of the BBC’s Race Across the World, which has seen them travel more than 11,000km across Europe and Asia.

Best friends Jo and Kush, siblings Katie and Harrison, father and daughter Molly and Andrew, and in-laws Mark and Margo were challenged with travelling from Europe “to the uncharted edges of Mongolia” in what the BBC described as the “toughest journey yet” on the beloved show.
The contestants reflected on what the epic race had meant to them ahead of Thursday night’s (May 21) grand finale.
