Meghan Markle was slammed by Sky News host Danica De Giorgio after her appearance on MasterChef Australia. During the episode, Meghan was interrupted by her husband, Prince Harry, FaceTiming her.

A producer was seen walking on set as he handed Meghan her phone, with Harry then seen on the phone. She told him, “Hi, my love!” before adding, “We wish you were here.”

She then told the judges that Harry couldn’t make the filming because he was in Canberra meeting with military veterans, as Harry complimented the studio setup, as Meghan introduced him to the judges and competitors.Despite the moment appearing to be sweet, it sparked backlash with viewers, and royal commentator Kinsey Schofield and Danica were not impressed.

Kinsey said: “Call me cynical, but I don’t believe for a second that Prince Harry just happened to FaceTime Meghan Markle while the cameras were rolling. I think we’ve watched Meghan operate long enough to know that very little about the presentation of brand Meghan is accidental.

“She’s a total control freak if I’m being the nicest way I could possibly say it. But that gives producers a cute television moment. But more importantly, it reminds everybody why Meghan is ultimately there in the first place because of who she married. Otherwise, what qualifies her to be on that show in that position?”

Danica replied: “Yeah, no, she has absolutely zero qualifications other than just having made an appearance in a television series once. And well, that was a flop, and everything she’s done since has been an absolute flop. But you’re right, it was a bit of a jump scare.”

The pair then discussed Meghan and Harry taking their children Archie and Lilibet to Princess Diana’s grave in Althorp, as Meghan shared pictures from the poignant family moment.

Kinsey said: “You can’t continuously monetise glimpses of your private family and then act astonished that the public is interested in your private life. Apparently, privacy means nobody else can take photographs, but Meghan’s photographer is perfectly acceptable.”

Danica agreed: “Oh, absolutely. She is the ultimate hypocrite.”
