Caitlin Clark made history and left many good memories for her teammates and coaches during her college years. The former Iowa Hawkeyes star constantly put on a show at soldout arenas, but Clark’s incredible plays weren’t exclusive to official games.

During an interview with David Letterman on his “My Next Guest Needs No Introduction” show on Netflix, Clark was inquired about an “iconic” practice that was considered a myth.

Clark confirmed it happened and shared more details about her remarkable performance against an all-boys volunteer team from the University of Iowa.

“There’s one iconic scrimmage,” an intrigued Letterman told Clark.

“There is, but nobody knows if it actually happened because nobody saw it,” Clark replied, via “nosyone4” on X.

“So I think I had 22 points in 2 minutes was the moral of the story,” Clark said. “We ended up winning and our boy practice players didn’t hear the end of it. They still don’t. I love to bring it up.”

After doing some research, fans found footage of Clark going off on these players. Kathryn Reynolds, a former Hawkeyes player, shared the video of Clark lighting up opponents in practice. She made consecutive shots to tie the game after her squad was down 15 points.

Clark took the game to overtime and eventually won that matchup.

Clark has been used to leaving fans and even opponents speechless. She broke many records in college and did the same once she made it to the WNBA.

Ahead of her sophomore campaign, she’s expected to take her level to new heights and compete with the top teams in the league with the new-look Indiana Fever.
