Caitlin Clark’s New Teammate Turns Heads With Jaw-Dropping Swimsuit Photos That Have Everyone Talking

Phoenix Mercury’s Sophie Cunningham talks WNBA playoffs, viral pregame fits

Sophie Cunningham is a little over a month away from her regular season debut with the Indiana Fever.

Cunningham, a second-round pick in 2019 out of the University of Missouri, spent her first six professional seasons with the Phoenix Mercury, where she was a key contributor both in a starting role and off the bench. This offseason, the Fever acquired the 6-foot-1 guard in a three-team trade, further supplementing their roster around second-year superstar Caitlin Clark.

By this point in her career, Cunningham, 28, knows her way around the WNBA, so it wasn’t too hard for her to acclimate herself to her new team.

“When you’re a pro, it’s all about adjusting. If you can’t do that, you won’t be in the league for long,” she told The Spun’s Chris Rosvoglou last week. “It’s all about building that chemistry and rhythm. Once you find that, you’ll know your role. When you have people willing to put their egos aside, I think it’s quite easy to settle in. I can shoot the ball well, but what I need to do is work hard and be myself.”

Cunningham may be ready to work hard for the Fever this season, but right now, she’s trying to soak up the last little bit of her time off.

On Thursday, the leggy blonde posted photos of herself enjoying the beach at the Hotel del Coronado in California.

In the pics, Cunningham strikes a few different poses in a tiny bikini and black cowboys hat.

“Work hard, beach harder💦 @mondayswimwear,” Cunningham captioned the post.

As her swimsuit posts always seem to do, these pictures from Cunningjam caused quite a stir.

“My motto too,” one man wrote.

“Cutie sis,” chimed in Cunningham’s sister.

“Sophie buckets this season coming soon,” a third person added.

“Sophie the fever Barbie 🔥😍🙌,” a fourth person said.

“2026 SI swimsuit edition model,” a fifth person added.

We will have our eyes on Cunningham on the court and off it this coming WNBA season.

In addition to her experience and shooting touch, Cunningham also brings a reputation as one of the league’s premier pregame dressers with her to Indiana.

Cunningham routinely went viral last year for her tunnel outfits, and we’d expect her to have some more heat in store in 2025.

She and the Fever will open up the regular season against the Chicago Sky on May 17.
