Strictly Come Dancing finalist Karen Carney has confessed to feeling “nervous” ahead of the final, revealing significant concerns about one of her performances.
The former England footballer has reached the grand finale of the BBC One dancing competition alongside her professional partner Carlos Gu.
The pair will compete against West End performer Amber Davies with Nikita Kuzmin, and presenter George Clarke with Alexis Warr on Saturday (December 20) evening.

In their bid to impress both the judging panel and viewers at home to claim the coveted Glitterball trophy, the couple will perform a Showdance – an opportunity to abandon traditional constraints and deliver a spectacular appeal for victory.
Additionally, each duo will revisit two previous routines from the series. One selection will be made by the contestants themselves, whilst the other will be chosen by the judges, reports Wales Online.

Karen and Carlos have opted to reprise their opening week Jive, whilst the judging panel has selected their Argentine Tango for a second performance.
Nevertheless, Karen has concerns that she may have selected the wrong choice admitting that returning to her debut routine has left her feeling “nervous” as she battles to recall the choreography.
During Friday’s (December 19) edition of Strictly spin-off programme It Takes Two, presenter Janette Manrara promptly questioned the star about her forthcoming weekend performances.
Janette remarked: “Let’s talk about your dance that you’re doing tomorrow because you’ve got some good ones coming up.”

She remembered: “We’re going to start with the jive, now the first time around you needed to bounce a ball because you were that nervous about it. Are you a lot calmer this time around?”.

Karen was candid in her response: “No. I did it again today and I don’t know how many people who are fortunate to get to the final would ever pick their first dance.”
She went on: “It was 13 weeks ago and I’m trying to remember it and trying to do three dances so I’m a little bit nervous about it but we will just give it a go.”
During another segment of the programme, Karen became emotional when Janette enquired what it would mean to become the first footballer to triumph on the show.
Brushing away her tears, she responded: “I don’t know if I’m honest. Hand on my heart I feel like I’ve already won. Honestly this experience, I tell you enough I’m a fan and I’ve sat on the sofa watching it at home so to be here now is enough.”
