England fans are rushing to complain to Ofcom over what they say was a ‘disgraceful’ pair of interviews with England boss Thomas Tuchel and star man Jude Bellingham minutes after the Three Lions edged out Norway in the World Cup quarter-final.
England set up a spicy semi-final encounter with Argentina this Wednesday after beating the heat and keeping Man City superstar Erling Haaland quiet on a Saturday night which came down to the wire in extra time, until Real Madrid’s Bellingham stepped up with his second goal of the game.

But England fans are not happy with ITV’s post-match coverage, particularly the interviews with gaffer Tuchel and man-of-the-match Jude.
Posting on the ThreeLions subreddit, u/filbertfriend said: “Gabriel Clarke’s post match interviews with Tuchel and then Bellingham [were] disgraceful.
“Clearly many of us are fed up with the English media trying to stir up s*** within our English team.

“They’d rather get a sensational story than to help our team win. And this transparent display of self importance from Clarke was the last straw for me.”

He then shared the complaints email address for ITV and Ofcom and encouraged other England fans to follow suit in complaining.
After the game, Clarke had approached Tuchel on the pitch and asked: “Well you’ve talked about your team suffering before. Today how do you sum up what the team have found?”
Tuchel then immediately corrected him, telling the reporter: “I didn’t talk about suffering, I talked about… no I never talked about suffering.
“Uh we made life very very difficult for ourselves today. The result is fantastic. We’re in the last four, it’s amazing. But, not happy with the performance.
“In every sense. Again the commitment is there but we made life very very difficult for us in the way we played, how we played, sloppy in a lot of technical mistakes, not fast enough. Not repetitive enough. We were lucky today.”
Clarke then asked if it was the occasion ‘getting to the players’ or a ‘mentality thing’, adding: “If you’re not happy with the players?”
Tuchel replied: “Mentality? This is pure mentality, how can you ask about mentality now? This is pure mentality.”
Clarke added: “No, when the players had the problem. Was that a mentality problem?”
Tuchel snapped back: “No. There’s no mentality problem! This is pure mentality. This is pure mentality. You can bottle it up and sell it!
“It’s a quality of our games, that’s it. This has nothing to do with mentality.”
A few minutes later, Clarke interviewed Bellingham, and pointed out: “The manager is actually not very happy. He said he was disappointed with the performance.”
Bellingham then shrugged his shoulders and told him: “Well, whatever. Whatever.
“It’s difficult out there. It’s a tough shift. All the players have put in a very tough shift. So my thoughts and appreciation goes to the players who’s out there who put in a great shift again.”
Commenting on the Three Lions subReddit, fans confirmed they had contacted Ofcom and ITV to complain.
U/ImpactAffectionate86 said: “Done both. Don’t want him near the England team again.”
U/StonedlikeSedimENT added: “Done. Took 30 seconds. Said it’s not ITV’s role and is contrary to the public interest.”
