A beloved Googlebox star has shared a new update since receiving a shock cancer diagnosis which he described as “one of the worst things that could have happened to me”.
Tremaine Plummer became part of the Channel 4 programme in 2016 alongside his brothers Twaine and Tristan. The trio quickly won over audiences and became household names.
Throughout the years, the siblings – based in Bristol – have left viewers in hysterics with their sharp wit, clever quips and hilarious commentary on television’s biggest moments.
But sadly, behind the scenes, one of the Googlebox favourites endured a harrowing battle with bowel cancer. Several years ago, Tremaine’s life was turned completely upside down following the shocking medical diagnosis.
In 2020, he marked five years of being cancer-free after fighting bowel cancer, reports the Mirror.

Sharing a photograph of himself in a hospital bed recently, Tremaine wrote a heartfelt message on social media.
He posted on Instagram: “When I first saw this photo it made me feel sick and weak. I hated this photo for a long time. But now this photo is my medal. This was me five years ago. Post-surgery for bowel cancer.
“One of the worst things that could have happened to me has turned into one of the best. Not everything bad that happens to you is the end.”
He continued: “Out of some bad s*** comes good s***. The entire experience has been an eye-opener and I view life totally different now. Stay strong.”

In their personal lives, Tristan is a devoted father to his son and daughter, while Twaine is a loving dad to his son.
Tragically, the brothers lost both their parents in 2021. Tristan shared a heartfelt tribute to his late mother on August 10, 2021, writing: “This One Hurts Posting, This R.I.P. My Queen, Still In Shock.. April 8, 2021.”
Beyond the hit show, Tremaine – the oldest of the three brothers – hosts a morning radio programme on Bristol’s Ujima FM.
Tristan, meanwhile, has pursued a professional football career since 2007, as has his sibling Twaine.
The 26th series of Gogglebox returned to screens on Friday, September 5 with a flurry of new faces.

A huge shakeup saw Scots couple Roisin Kelly and Joe Kyle axed after three years on the show, but two new Scottish duos have taken their places as well as three other families.
Channel 4 will be welcoming pals Jake, 27, and Calum, 31, from Glasgow as well as sisters Rosie, 68, and Susie, 70, from Edinburgh.
The show will also welcome their oldest watcher as 87-year-old Sara, from Yorkshire, will feature with her daughter-in-law Lara, 58.

The other two families are the Gordons from Surrey, comprising parents Andre, 49, and Sarah, 47, alongside their daughter Chee, 25 plus married couple Andrew, 62, and Alfie, 32, from the Cotswolds.
Speaking about being axed back in July, Roisin penned on TikTok: “After three and a half years of sitting on the sofa channel 4 have decided it’s time for Joe and I to stretch our legs and have not asked us back for season 26…
“The experience has actually been so mad and we will miss watching TV with you all… It’s been an honour to represent Scotland as some of the first Scottish people on the show and prove we don’t actually need subtitles.”
