Need a refresher on High Potential?
For those needing a recap or just catching up, High Potential is a procedural drama centred around Morgan, an unconventional single mother of three who starts as a cleaner at the LAPD. After solving a murder case by rearranging evidence during her night shift, she forms an unlikely yet effective partnership with methodical detective Adam Karadec, combining her intuitive problem-solving skills with his by-the-book approach to tackle challenging cases.
As a procedural, each episode typically focuses on a separate case, neatly resolved by the end of the week, though there are a few exceptions , reports the Mirror

Who was the main antagonist in High Potential’s first season?
Whilst the majority of cases reach resolution within a single episode, there’s one rather significant anomaly. Morgan and her colleagues find themselves pitted against a criminal who goes by the moniker The Game Master.
This individual orchestrates a string of abductions, placing each victim in perilous circumstances. He torments Morgan and law enforcement by presenting them with riddles to solve in order to locate the captives, daring them to mount successful rescues against the clock.
Although they triumph, even managing to save one of their own team members, The Game Master evades capture and remains a menacing threat. In the first season’s concluding episode, Morgan and her children encounter an unknown individual who secretly plants a deck of cards in her handbag bearing an ominous inscription.
The message reads: “You’re the one, Morgan. We shall play again. Me and you.” But what is The Game Master’s true identity?
What became of Morgan’s husband Roman?
The second cliffhanger from season one revolved around Morgan’s first spouse. Whilst her most recent former partner remains actively involved in their lives, frequently assisting with childcare duties, her first husband vanished without explanation when their eldest child was merely an infant.
Morgan’s motivation for accepting the police consultation role stems partly from their agreement to reopen the investigation into Roman’s fate. This comes despite official assumptions that he has perished.
In the gripping finale of the first series, it is unveiled that Roman is not only alive but has been operating as an FBI informant. The revelation leaves a multitude of questions about his fate unanswered, yet viewers are left with the hint that Karadec knows where to begin the search.
