Reform Chairman Lee Anderson didn’t hold back as he was quizzed about Andy Burnham’s quest to house migrants on the doorsteps of middle-class villages around Britain. Speaking to Kevin O’Sullivan on TalkTV he addressed the issue of the “mega camps” as O’Sullivan called them. “There are more in the pipeline. It doesn’t really get to grips with the problem. Just using it, or classifying, it as a class war issue. ‘We’re going to make the middle classes do their share’. It’s ridiculous, isn’t it?” he asked the MP.

“I visited the the Barnham camp, and villagers there in nearby Thetford are absolutely furious that up to up to 1,250 undocumented young, fighting age, males are going to be plonked into that camp – literally one mile away from the the beautiful town of Thetford, and it wouldn’t be so bad if these illegal migrants were detained securely in these camps [but] we all know what’s going to happen,” he said.

“They’re going to be bused on a daily basis – probably taxis – bused from the village to to mosey around, cause problems. We’ve got HMOs (House in Multiple Occupation) in Deptford as well, right next to a local primary school.”

He raged that the migrants may have criminal backgrounds before he directed his fury directly at Mr Burnham when he issued a savage four-word putdown.

“I tell you what you’re doing, Burnham, if you’re listen to this, because you’re an absolute moron. You are spreading the problem all over the country. And it’s going to get worse. People are going to get attacked. People are going to get beaten up and sexually molested by these people that you, you Burnham, are importing into this country,” he lashed out.

Andy Burnham has confirmed his belief wealthy areas should accept more migrants so that arrivals are not just placed in the “poorest communities”.

He said every community will have to play their part when being questioned about the controversial 1,200-strong migrant camp near the Oxfordshire village of Piddington, where residents argued it would overwhelm the current population of 400.

Mr Burnham told GB News: “I do have to say, we cannot have a situation where it’s only the poorest communities in the country that receive all of the dispersal of refugees and asylum seekers.

“I do believe all parts of the country need to work, to play their part. We understand people’s concerns, and I will look into the issues raised by the good people of Piddington.”
