King Charles blocks Prince William from crucial talks: ‘feeling betrayed’
King Charles appears to have sent a stern warning to his son Prince William as reconciliation with Prince Harry begins to take a more positive turn.
The Prince of Wales is understood to be firmly against keeping any close ties with his brother and has been warning his father about the whole plan. However, the monarch has asserted that he does not need to consult his heir for eery decision.
The Duke of Sussex will be returning to UK again next month for a series of engagement just weeks after Meghan and the children met with the King. According to a royal insider cited by Woman’s Day, Harry has pitch for himself and Meghan for their next family meeting.
Prince William is not happy about and has been “pressing his father for more details” but Charles’s has said that it is “simply none of his business at this point”.
“He feels William has been incredibly hot-headed about the situation and wants to give Harry the chance to outline what he’s after,” the source explained.
“The King can always say no, and he feels perfectly capable of making that decision without his eldest son’s interference.”
The update comes after it was reported that Harry will be making more frequent trips to the UK.
Meanwhile, Charles is “willing to hear his son out” and learn what Harry really wants even if it is a discussion about his role in the royal family. William feels “massively betrayed” that the idea is even being entertained at this point.
The source suggested that Harry is still focused on the “half in, half out, arrangement that his grandmother said they couldn’t have” but he believes Charles might consider it.
Despite the progress in ending the rift between the royals and the Sussexes, there are “no promises being made”.
