Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s reported decision to spend an extended period back in Britain has already sparked strong reaction on both sides of the Atlantic, with several high-profile supporters of Donald Trump making their feelings clear.
It has been six years since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped away from life as senior working royals and moved to California, where they have raised their two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
Now, reports from The Daily Telegraph and The Sun suggest the family could soon be heading back to England for what has been described as “an extended period of time”.
Exactly why Harry and Meghan are reportedly making the move has not been confirmed.
There is also no suggestion that they are preparing to return to royal duties.
Instead, reports indicate the Sussexes are expected to live outside London in a private, non-royal residence. Archie, seven, and Lilibet, five, are also said to have been enrolled in schools in Britain.

Harry’s Security Concerns Remain A Major Question
One of the biggest unanswered issues surrounding the reported move is security.
Less than a year ago, Harry said he did not feel comfortable bringing Meghan and their children back to Britain without what he considered adequate police protection.

Now, some of Trump’s political allies and supporters have responded to reports that Harry and Meghan may be leaving America for an extended stay in Britain.
Political commentator Megyn Kelly replied to a post from British broadcaster Dan Wootton, who had reacted to the reports by asking: “What did we do to deserve this?”
Kelly responded: “We’ve done our time here in America my dear friend!”
The comment was clearly tongue-in-cheek but left little doubt about her feelings regarding the Sussexes’ reported move.
Katie Miller, wife of White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller, also weighed in.
She claimed that Harry and Meghan were returning to Britain because they “don’t like President Trump”, sharing a screenshot of an article discussing the couple’s alleged political views.
There has been no confirmation from Harry or Meghan that Trump has anything to do with their reported decision.
Benny Johnson offered an even shorter reaction, writing simply: “Good riddance.”
Motive Behind The Move Still Unknown
Despite the confident theories being shared online, the reason behind Harry and Meghan’s reported return remains unclear.
Neither has publicly explained whether the move is connected to family, their children’s education, work commitments, security arrangements or something else entirely.
That uncertainty has created plenty of room for speculation.
Since moving to California, Harry and Meghan have built a life largely separate from the Royal Family, while continuing to attract enormous media attention in both Britain and the United States.

That makes even the prospect of a longer UK stay significant.
