The late queen d!ed from ‘old age’…
King Charles took over the throne in September 2022, after the sad d3ath of his mother Queen Elizabeth II, but he was told the news during a tragic phone call.
The late queen sat on the throne for seven decades, breaking records for the longest reign from any monarch in British history.
Queen Elizabeth II‘s daughter, Princess Anne, was by her side as she took her final breaths. King Charles and his wife Camilla spent an hour with the monarch privately on the day of her d3ath, but in the final moments, they were on the way back from their nearby estate and hadn’t made it back to her bedside in time.

King Charles knew about the Queen Elizabeth II’s d3ath from two words in tragic phone call
As the monarch’s health deteriorated “pretty quickly” from the moments Charles and Queen Consort Camilla were with her, the 75-year-old knew his fate seconds after picking up the dreaded call.
While the pair had gone out to ‘pick mushrooms’ to allow Anne to spend time alone with Her Majesty. He then called his sons, Prince William and Prince Harry, telling them to travel up to Balmoral to say their goodbyes as soon as they could.
As Charles and Camilla were driving back to the estate, he pulled over to receive a phone call. It was shortly after he answered that he worked out his mother had d!ed before he was officially ‘told’.
On the other end of the line, delivering the heartbreaking news, he was referred to as “Your Majesty”. In seconds, he would have realised he had now taken the role of the country’s monarch, due to his mother’s d3ath, royal author Robert Hardman claimed in the book Charles III: New King. New Court. The Inside Story.
Despite the sad d3ath, which shattered hearts across the globe, comfort can be found in the fact Queen Elizabeth d!ed peacefully in her sleep after King Charles left.
The author, who is said to have gained access to Sir Edward Young, the Queen’s private secretary’s memo, claims he wrote: “Very peaceful. In her sleep. Slipped away. Old age. She wouldn’t have been aware of anything. No pain.”
Buckingham Palace said it would not be commenting on the “unauthorised” biography at the time.

How did the Queen d!e?
The royal passed away from ‘old age’, according to her d3ath certificate which was released weeks after her passing.
Her health deteriorated before her d3ath, as family looked after her at Balmoral.
But before she took a turn for the worst, she was dedicated to duty in her tragic final hours, just like her father.
She was still fulfilling important matters of business, includes notes on important documents.
However, as she was planning to remain in bed all day, unusual for the late queen, they called her doctor for a health check. Despite not feeling well, she went ahead with a planned meeting, and no one knew it would take place in her final hours.
Hardman wrote: “After his visit, the Queen let it be known that she was still planning to appear, via video link, at the Privy Council meeting scheduled for that evening.
“Given the change of government, she knew that it would be a large and very important one, with several new Cabinet ministers and counselors to be sworn in.”
Although, it was then cancelled last-minute due to ‘medical advice’.
