Strictly Come Dancing enthusiasts received disappointing news from Janette Manrara during Wednesday evening’s It Takes Two programme (December 10).
The presenter was accompanied by Strictly semi-finalist Amber Davies and her professional partner Nikita Kuzmin as the duo discussed their experience in the dance-off during Sunday’s results show.
Just four couples remain in the BBC One contest following the departure of another celebrity and professional pairing.
Former Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and Katya Jones found themselves amongst the bottom two couples after their musical week performance, alongside reality television personality Amber and Nikita.
The judging panel opted to eliminate Lewis following his salsa routine to Dance At The Gym from West Side Story, reports Wales Online.

Despite George leading the betting odds as the potential Strictly winner since the first week, many bookmakers are now tipping former England footballer Karen as the new favourite to clinch the title.
The remaining four pairs will take to the dance floor during next weekend’s semi-final, which will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC iPlayer at 18:35pm on Saturday (December 13). The results show will follow at 19:45pm on Sunday.
Each duo will showcase two new routines, with special performances from Australian pop icon Kylie Minogue and boyband Five.
