Loose Women presenter Ruth Langsford has addressed rumours suggesting she has embarked on a new romance with a mystery man.

The TV host, 65, returned to screens on Tuesday (November 4) as she tackled various subjects with fellow panellists GK Barry, Denise Welch and Jane Moore.

Yet it was one particular discussion that captured viewers’ attention as she clarified her relationship status following an image of her with an unidentified man circulating on social media, reports the Express.
The presenter confirmed the photograph was AI-generated and she remains single. Puzzled by the image, she remarked: “Unknown to me, apparently I have a man. I don’t know who the woman in the bobble hat is because it is clearly not me and I’m not sure who that man is.”

Fellow panellist Denise observed: “I thought that was you but in AI. It is you in AI.” Ruth responded: “Well it’s something.. They’ve done something to it.”

Accompanying the photograph was a written piece detailing how the fictitious pair became acquainted. Referencing the narrative, Ruth commented: “The full story girls is heartbreak, closure and a love that came full circle.”
Still perplexed, the presenter added: “Apparently, according to the article that is all over Facebook or something because friends kept ringing me up and going ‘have you got a new man that you haven’t told us about’ I said ‘no'”.
The panel erupted with laughter as Ruth continued: “Apparently I met this man when we were childhood sweethearts when I grew up in Belfast, which I didn’t and now it’s come full circle after all these years and we’re back together.”

Jane confessed: “Do you know what, we’re laughing but people believe that and you see these things all the time.
“If that gets abused into saying that you said something that you didn’t say or did something that you didn’t do. That to me is scary.”
Denise was swift to enquire: “Mind you, that guy on there is the real person?” The studio filled with laughter as she remarked: “Because he was alright.”
Ruth concurred, adding: “Well yeah, he’s not bad.” Ruth was wed to Eamonn Holmes for 14 years before revealing their unexpected separation in May last year.
