It Takes Two host Fleur East was forced to issue an apology live on air after professional dancer Alexis Warr used “bad language” during the broadcast. The Strictly spin-off show welcomed Alexis Warr and her partner George Clarke to discuss their stellar performance over the weekend. But as Alexis was explaining a minor hiccup during their routine, she slipped out the word “cr*p” causing Fleur to halt the interview and apologise.
Dancer Alexis said: “At the beginning he hit his position and I knew right away he was locked in and I was just like yes George – and I almost forgot to go, because I was like oh wait crap I have to move”. Fleur briefly paused the programme as she issued an apology to fans at home. She told BBC viewers: “Sorry about the language you just heard, we just get very excited”. Fans slammed the apology, dubbing it “ridiculous”.

Taking to X, one fan said: “Are we really apologising for saying ‘crap’ sweet jesus”.
Another penned: “Alexis saying crap and them having to apologise ridiculous,” while a third added: “Is ‘crap’ a curse/swear word now? Fleur just had to apologise when one of the professional dancers said this ‘offensive’ word on #ItTakesTwo”
George previously admitted he’s still finding his feet on the dance floor after viewers caught his hilariously honest reaction during the latest results show.
The YouTuber, one of 15 celebrities competing in this year’s BBC One contest, impressed in week one with an American Smooth to Stargazing by Myles Smith, scoring a respectable 24 points from the judges.
They went on to top that performance with a dramatic paso doble to Game Of Survival by Ruelle, which earned a solid 30 from Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke.
The duo’s improvement didn’t go unnoticed by viewers, who voted them safely through to week three. But it was George’s unfiltered reaction during the results show that truly caught fans’ attention.
When host Claudia Winkleman asked Alexis to reveal their upcoming Movie Week routine, she announced they’d be performing to Soda Pop from the animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters.
Caught off guard, George awkwardly smiled before replying: “Yes… that’s fantastic news,” leaving the studio audience and his co-stars in fits of laughter.
Fans immediately dubbed him an “honest king” online, praising his down-to-earth nature. One viewer posted: “George’s face when he had no idea what the movie was — national treasure behaviour already.” Another joked: “Someone get George a copy of K-Pop Demon Hunters before Saturday!”
Speaking after the show, George admitted he’s still learning to handle the whirlwind pace of Strictly: “Every week it’s something new. I’m having the best time but there’s a lot to take in — the steps, the styles, the costumes, everything.”
