Jeremy Clarkson suffered a rather awkward moment as he accepted his National Television Award last night as he was left hanging onto his trousers. The former Top Gear host picked up the gong for the best factual entertainment programme for his Clarkson’s Farm series.

He headed on stage with his crew and showed off his slender frame. Jeremy, 65, looked smart in a black suit with crisp white shirt at the award ceremony at London’s O2 Arena.
Last year, fans noticed Jeremy’s changing physique after he revealed he was just days from death. The presenter needed urgent heart surgery to clear his blocked arteries and has since overhauled his lifestyle.

While on stage collecting his award, Jeremy confessed he has been takings jabs to aid his weight loss. “I should explain I’m on Mounjaro, my trousers are falling down,” he confessed as Lisa held him up at the waist.
He told the crowd: “Lisa’s going to hold my trousers up whilst I make a very short speech.” Jeremy, who appeared with show star Harriet Cowan, decided to address the challenges the farming industry face.

“Farming is a difficult job and I appreciate the way people are going, ‘I didn’t know where my sausages came from’,” he said. “You don’t love farming, you love moments of it — it is really tricky right now.
“Farmers work so hard for no money so it’s delightful that people recognise a farming show can beat a house cleaning show. We shall go and have a drink.”
His speech appeared to take a dig at Stacey Solomon, who had two of her shows nominated in the same category Jeremy won. Both her BBC shows Sort Your Life Out and Stacey & Joe were up but despite double the chance, Stacey unfortunately missed out.

Celebrating in the winners’ room after picking up the gong, the star said to the press: “It’s great that a farming show can beat a house cleaning show,” seemingly referencing Stacey’s Sort Your Life Out.
It wasn’t the only ‘dig’ he made, as he claimed that his team “worked way harder than anyone else in this room” during his acceptance speech.

Just hours before, Stacey hit out at a “ludicrous” decision by the organisation for putting both her shows up in the same category. Speaking on Magic Radio, Stacey said: “They’ve put Sort Your Life Out and Stacey & Joe in the same blummin’ category for some reason.
“We’re up against each other which is absolutely ludicrous! But you know what I’m so grateful to just be going, it’s so nice to be shortlisted and nominated knowing that it’s a public vote.”
Stacey also missed out on a BAFTA earlier this year, which she admitted felt like a sore loss. At the time she said: “We didn’t win a BAFTA and I know I’m supposed to take it gracefully like a champ but I’ll be honest I’m devastated.
