Princess Charlotte was not included in the Court Circular update about Prince William’s appearance at the Euros 2025 final in Switzerland last weekend. The 10-year-old made her first public appearance at a game for England’s women’s national team.
Although William’s appearance was known beforehand, his daughter’s appearance alongside him was kept as a surprise for royal fans. Prior to the daddy-daughter duo’s appearance, Kensington Palace released an update: “The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Football Association, having been received at EuroAirport Basel Mulhouse Freiburg by His Majesty’s Consul-General for the Swiss Confederation and the Principality of Liechtenstein (Mr. Richard Shackleton), this evening attended the Union of European Football Associations Women’s Euro Final between England and Spain at St. Jakob-Park, Basel, Switzerland.”
Charlotte’s name was not added to the Court Circular update for the simple reason that she is not considered to be a working royal.

Whilst Charlotte is a member of the Royal Family, the youngster and her brothers – Prince George, 12, and seven-year-old Prince Louis – remain, as all children, focused on their education.
Much like her appearance on Sunday, Charlotte and George’s names were not listed in the July 13 log from Kensington Palace about the Wimbledon Championships.
Whilst their little brother remained at home, the Prince and Princess of Wales’ two eldest children joined their parents that day to see the men’s singles final of the tennis tournament.
The young royal wowed royal fans as she is spotted rewearing a “fun and classic” navy polka-dot dress.

Taking to social media, @Remisagoodboy – who is known for posting about members of the Royal Family’s fashion – shared that Charlotte wore the Guess Girls Chiffon Polka Dot Dress.
Commenting on the page’s post, one fan commented: “Absolutely delightful, [thank you] [smiley-face emoji] Charlotte will be so much fun to follow with fashion details, Remi.”
Another commented: “So pretty! Classic and feminine, just like Princess Charlotte. Thank you!”

Prince William and Princess Charlotte shared a “rare royal moment” together during this year’s Women’s Euros, a body language expert has claimed. The Prince of Wales took his second child with his to watch the final match between England and Spain, where the Lionesses emerged victorious following a penalty shootout.
In an image uploaded by Kensington Palace on the Wales’s social media account, father and daughter can be seen embracing while looking at the Lionesses celebrating their victory with their trophy. According to body language expert Judi James, that “rare royal moment” of “shared joy” showcased just how special their “powerful” relationship is.

“With his arm around his daughter’s shoulders and her legs crossed towards her dad, this is a rare moment for any royal, illustrating the levelling power of sport on everyone’s psyche.”
Ms James also noted that depite the royals usually being the centre of attention in any engagement they attend, Sunday’s victory showed that the “glorious” thing about sport is that it can allowe atheles to “leapfrog” them.
She explained: “William is always the centre of attention and affords respect wherever he goes, but the glorious thing about a win in sport is that it allows athletes and competitors to leapfrog that pecking order.
“Which leaves moments like this, where a royal prince and princess are left gazing in awe at the England team as they celebrate their phenomenal win.

“William and Charlotte take this pecking order knock-down willingly and with obvious enjoyment, too.
“When you’re as famous as they are it’s good to be an awe-struck fan and William has always been the best role model for his children when it comes to this modest response to celebs like Taylor Swift and his football heroes.
“His suppressed smiles and excited grins as he hands out the medals shows exactly how proud and in awe of the women he is.”
