A prominent New England Patriots insider strongly indicated that the AFC East team is on the verge of completing a blockbuster trade.

The Patriots have been one of the busiest teams since the new league year began last month. They bolstered their offense with the signings of superstar wide receiver Stefon Diggs and offensive linemen Garrett Bradbury and Morgan Moses.

To beef up the defense, the New England Patriots also brought in star pass rusher Harold Landry, ball-hawking cornerback Carlton Davis, linebacker Robert Spillane and Super Bowl 59 hero Milton Williams.

But are Mike Vrabel and company about to make another giant splash? One Patriots insider strongly indicated so…

The @PatsPro_21 X/Twitter account asked New England Patriots insider Greg A. Bedard of the Boston Sports Journal if he’s merely speculating or if he’s aware of the Patriots going “big game hunting” on the trade market.

Bedard’s two-word response to the fan was awfully compelling, to say the least:

New England Patriots Own The No. 4 Pick

The Patriots hold the No. 4 selection in the 2025 NFL Draft, behind the New York Giants (No. 3), Cleveland Browns (No. 2) and Tennessee Titans (No. 1). Miami quarterback Cam Ward, Penn State edge rusher Abdul Carter and Colorado two-way star Travis Hunter are the consensus choices to be the top-three picks.

If that’s the case, however, the Pats are still guaranteed a quality day-one starter with the No. 4 selection. Michigan defensive tackle Mason Graham, LSU offensive tackle Will Campbell, Michigan corner Will Johnson and Penn State tight end Tyler Warren are among the best options available.
