The book has been released today
Prince Andrew’s accuser Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous book, Nobody’s Girl: A Memoir of Surviving Abuse and Fighting for Justice, has been released today (October 21).
The book contains harrowing new details about Ms Giuffre’s time with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. It also details new allegations about Prince Andrew. Ms Giuffre accused the prince of sexual assault. She alleged she was made to have sex with the prince in the early 2000s after being trafficked by Epstein.
Andrew has always denied the allegations and insisted in a 2019 BBC Newsnight interview that he doesn’t remember even meeting Ms Giuffre.
In a statement last week, Prince Andrew announced he would no longer use his Duke of York title after stepping back from duties in 2019. In the statement, he once again denied all allegations against him.
He said: “As I have said previously, I vigorously deny the accusations against me.”
Now with Ms Giuffre’s memoir out, six months after she tragically took her own life in April, let’s look at the allegations regarding Prince Andrew.

‘He believed having sex with me was his birthright’
In her book, Ms Giuffre alleged she was forced to have sex with Andrew on three occasions.
Her first encounter with Andrew reportedly took place at Epstein’s associate Ghislaine Maxwell’s London house, when Ms Giuffre was 17.
My daughters are just a little younger than you.
She claimed that Prince Andrew guessed her age correctly, then told her: “My daughters are just a little younger than you.”
She continued: “In the years since, I’ve thought a lot about how he behaved. He was friendly enough, but still entitled – as if he believed having sex with me was his birthright.”
The second incident allegedly took place at Epstein’s New York Townhouse.
The infamous photo of Prince Andrew and Virginia Giuffre
Ms Giuffre also vividly recalled the moment the now-infamous photo of her and Andrew was taken. She wrote about running to grab her “Kodak FunSaver” camera, knowing “my mom would never forgive me if I met someone as famous as Prince Andrew and didn’t pose for a picture”.
The 2001 image appeared to show Prince Andrew with his arm around Ms Giuffre’s waist as they smiled at the camera. Maxwell also featured in the image, smiling too.
Andrew addressed the image during his Newsnight interview, suggesting it had been “doctored”. Maxwell echoed this claim during a prison interview in 2023. She branded the image “fake”.
However, these claims haven’t been proven.
Ms Giuffre’s ‘orgy’ with Andrew
In an extract of the memoir published by The Guardian, Ms Giuffre recounted her third time allegedly having sex with Prince Andrew, when she was “around 18”. It reportedly took place on Epstein’s 70-acre island, Little Saint James.
“I also know that it was not just the two of us this time; it was an orgy,” Ms Giuffre alleged. “Epstein, Andy, and approximately eight other young girls and I had sex together. The other girls all appeared to be under the age of 18 and didn’t really speak English.”

Beatrice and Eugenie ‘almost called as witnesses’
Following Prince Andrew’s disastrous Newsnight interview in November 2019, Ms Giuffre claimed her legal team considered the possibility of calling on Andrew’s ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, as well as their daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, as witnesses in her legal case.
They apparently hoped that “his family members could potentially poke holes in his alibi” after Andrew claimed he could not have had sex with Ms Giuffre in March 2001, due to being at Pizza Express in Woking with Princess Beatrice on the day in question.
In 2021, Ms Giuffre filed a lawsuit against the royal in the US, accusing him of sexual assault. He denied the allegations. They reached an out-of-court settlement in February 2022 for an undisclosed sum. The royal repeated that the settlement did not mean any liability or admission of guilt.
Giuffre settled with Andrew outside of court
In her memoir, Ms Giuffre wrote about receiving money from Prince Andrew in the settlement of her legal case against him.
She didn’t divulge how much money she was paid in February 2022, but wrote her lawyers “were going to ask for the moon” and agreed it “had to be more than mere money”. The final sum is believed to have been more than £9million ($12m).
Ms Giuffre also referred to reports “that his mother, the Queen of England, had footed the bill”. She added in her memoir: “I look forward to disseminating some of the Crown’s money to do some good.”
She went on to claim that she agreed to a one-year gag order, so as not to “tarnish” the late Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations, which took place in June of 2022.

Andrew ‘hired internet trolls’ to harass Ms Giuffre
In the book, Ms Giuffre also alleged that Andrew’s legal team attempted to hire internet trolls to continue to harass her after they settled their legal case.
“After casting doubt on my credibility for so long – Prince Andrew’s team had even gone so far as to try to hire internet trolls to hassle me,” she reportedly wrote.
Reps for Buckingham Palace have been contacted for comment on the memoir. Prince Andrew has always denied the allegations against him.
