King Charles reunited with his youngest son Prince Harry yesterday, marking their first face-to-face meeting since February 2024. The monarch, 76, welcomed Harry, 40, to his Clarence House home for a private tea, with no further details given.
However, Harry – who landed in the UK on Monday for four days of engagements on home soil – was not the only royal to meet with the King yesterday. Shortly before Harry arrived at his father’s home, the Duchess of Edinburgh was pictured leaving.
It is not known what Duchess Sophie, 60, was talking to the King about in their meeting prior to Harry’s visit, however it is likely to have been about her five-day trip to Alberta, Canada.

On the trip, which ended this week, Sophie carried out engagements focused on British-Canadian links and charity work- something the King will no doubt have wanted an update on.
As reported by GB News, Sophie was driven away from the King’s London residence after their meeting, not long before Harry, who quit royal life in 2020, was driven into the home at around 5.20pm.
He then left just short of an hour later, with the private tea meeting lasting 54 minutes.
Buckingham Palace and Prince Harry’s spokesperson both said the pair met for tea, with no more information given.

It is believed the details of what was discussed will remain private, however Harry did answer a question about his father at an engagement after their meeting.
When asked about the King at an Invictus reception in London last night, Harry said: “Yes, he’s great, thank you.”
The meeting between father and son has been seen as a sign of reconciliation between the pair, with Harry having told the BBC in May that they weren’t speaking and he wanted to reconcile.
Before Wednesday, the pair hadn’t seen each other since February 2024. It is not clear if they have plans to meet again in the near future.
