Strictly Come Dancing viewers blast ‘car crash’ show after BBC star axed (Image: BBC)
Strictly Come Dancing announced Instant Dance, a new dance challenge that took place in the Saturday 29 November live show. Overseen by Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman , Instant Dance saw each remaining couple to pick a dance style at random from ones they have learnt in the competition so far. After a frantic dash through wardrobe to select and change into their costumes – each couple were given just 10 seconds on the countdown clock to decide exactly how they’re going to dance it.
Vincent Simone, who appeared on Strictly from 2006 until 2012, has since spoken out about the recent show addition which left some viewers unimpressed.
One Reddit user vented: “It was a car crash in the best way possible.” Another echoed: “Totally, I couldn’t look away even though I knew it was chaos.”
While a third added: “To me it was more like a train crash with some of the dances getting it back on track despite leaves on the rails….???”

Strictly viewers were left in shock when Lewis Cope was eliminated (Image: BBC)
Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk on behalf of Paddy Power, Vincent remarked: “There’s nothing wrong with Strictly’s existing format.
The Instant Dance was a fun one-off, but the show shouldn’t start feeling like a game show. Strictly is about working hard all week and performing one polished dance. Occasional twists are fine; they give fans something new – but the heart of the show must stay the same.”
Meanwhile, Strictly fans were left up in arms after it was announced after Lewis Cope became the latest star to be eliminated from the BBC dance competition.
The Emmerdale star and his dance partner, Katya Jones, found themselves in the dreaded dance-off against Amber Davies on Sunday (December 7), despite the two impressive couples topping the leaderboard this week.
This was a first for the Emmerdale star to be in the bottom two, despite both couples impressing the judges with their glamorous routines for Musicals Week.
