Tonight’s Strictly Come Dancing’s live show will see the return of Stefan Dennis and Dianne Buswell, after the Neighbours star was forced to pull out last week due to illness.

The couple missed the iconic Movie Night, and due to show rules, received a bye through to tonight – but former Strictly professional dancer James Jordan believes it could be their last.

James, who is married to fellow former Strictly pro dancer Ola Jordan, isn’t afraid to hold back on his opinions on the show, and this year is no different.

Speaking to the Mirror on behalf of Freebets.com, James said: “I’d have to say Chris and Nadiya from what I’ve seen so far, I could be wrong, but I would say they’re probably favourite to go.”

Chris Robshaw and Nadiya Bychkova found themselves in trouble during the first dance off, when they found themselves competing against Thomas Skinner and Amy Dowden. However, after a unanimous vote from the judges, they were safely through to week three.

Chris and Nadiya aren’t the only ones James thinks could be in trouble next week, as he thinks Stefan and Dianne need to pull something ‘extraordinary’ out the bag if they want to stay.

“Stefan is coming back this week with Dianne. They could be in trouble unless they put out a standout performance,” he said.

This week, Stefan and Dianne will be returning to the dancefloor with the Charleston to Dance Monkey by Tones and I. But will they be able to pull of the show stopper James thinks they need?

It’s not just James who has doubts about the pair, as latest odds show the couple are now the bookmakers’ favourites to leave the competition this weekend with odds to win of 100/1.

On the flipside, the father of one thinks he know exactly who’s going to take the crown. Despite Emmerdale’s Lewis Cope and Love Island and West End star Amber Davies impressing the judges, James thinks someone with no prior dance experience will take the crown.

“At the moment I would put my money on George [Clarke]. He’s a non-dancer, and I think he’s doing an amazing job,” he said.

One star however, who the star believed left too early, was Thomas Skinner, who was the first to leave.

“I feel Tom had a lot more to offer,” he said. “I loved his character and his personality, I thought he was going to be a really funny one.

“But I felt the week that he went, he had a c**p piece of music, awful costume. Do I think he was the right person to go that week? Probably yes, but I still would have liked to have seen more of him

“I didn’t feel he was given the chance.”

Of course, fans won’t know until Sunday night who the third couple to be eliminated will be – but whoever it is will miss out on the all important Halloween week.
