Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly considering making a public apology to King Charles for their part in the family feud over the last six years. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who quit royal life in 2020, have publicly criticised the Firm on many occasions, whether that be in interviews, in their Netflix docuseries, and in Harry’s memoir.
It is now believed that the couple may issue a statement apologising to the King for any problems they have caused. They reportedly want to do this, but make it clear they don’t take back what was said, just the impact it had. It is believed that the motivation for releasing such a statement is to aid the reconciliation between them and Harry’s father, sending the monarch “a clear signal” that they want to end the hostile family tensions.
An insider told RadarOnline: “There is no illusion on either side that Harry and Meghan can release a carefully worded statement and suddenly repair everything that has happened between them, Charles and the Royal Family over the past five years. Too many deeply personal things have been said publicly, relationships have been fractured, and a huge amount of trust has disappeared. Rebuilding that is going to require much more than a single apology, and it certainly won’t happen overnight.
“But publicly recognising the pain this dispute has caused would be an important gesture because it would show that Harry and Meghan understand the consequences of how far the feud has gone. It could also send Charles a clear signal that they are serious about ending this cycle of hostility and beginning a different kind of relationship with the family.”
James Wessex is clearly popular among royal fans, as a new poll shows that many Brits want him to become a working royal. Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie’s son, who does not use his royal titles, received his A-Level results this week.
While his exact grades were not confirmed, Buckingham Palace said that James received the results he needed to get into his chosen university. This is the Royal Agricultural University, where he will study Rural Land and Property Management. He will begin his course in September.

Prince William is likely to still want “nothing to do” with Prince Harry even if the duke releases a public apology, a royal insider has said. Over the last week, rumours have been swirling that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could issue a public statement apologising to the Royal Family for the tensions that have existed since they quit royal life.
While this might aid their relationship with King Charles, who they reunited with at Highgrove last month, a royal insider said that it is unlikely to change the relationship between Harry and William. This relationship between the brothers is currently nonexistent, with the pair reportedly not having spoken for some time. It is believed this is a result of Harry’s 2023 memoir Spare.
We all know the Princess Royal is one of the hardest working royals, working day in, day out, travelling across the country for bread and butter engagements and representing the crown abroad. Her visits rarely ever get national press attention, but Anne doesn’t mind, as she’s there to support the charity, community or organisation that she’s visiting – she doesn’t care for gushing reports, or praise, she’s there to do her duty and help others.
This is the impression I got in Glasgow at the start of the month when I was working at the Commonwealth Games. We had several royal visitors to the bowls, where I was based, but when Anne came her police protection officers were barely noticeable. She walked in the main entrance chatting away with an official with her husband in tow with only one PPO keeping his distance behind them.

A surprising member of the Royal Family was beaten to top spot by readers of the Express. We launched a poll asking our readers who they felt best represented the Royal Family.
The poll, which ran from 7am on Tuesday (August 11) until 11am on Thursday (August 13), was completed by 2,421 readers. The royals with the lowest scores were the Duke of Gloucester (four votes), Prince George (six votes), and Prince Louis (seven votes).
Four royals took the top spots, with hundreds more votes than their family members. King Charles came in fourth, with 211 votes, followed by Princess Catherine, with 489 votes. Princess Anne came in second, with 773 votes. And first place was scooped by Prince William, with 790 votes.
Princess Anne is celebrating her 76th birthday today and is likely to be spending the day with her nearest and dearest. This is set to include her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, as well as time with her children, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips, who are also expected at some point.
While Anne will be receiving plenty of well-wishes from those in her inner circle, royal fans will also be wishing The Princess Royal a good day as she turns 76. This is because Anne is one of the most popular royals and is often dubbed the hardest-working. While we know Anne from her public appearances, not many know what she is really like behind-the-scenes.
Former royal butler Grant Harrold, who worked for King Charles between 2004 and 2011, does know what Anne is like away from the spotlight and has shared his insights with the Daily Express.

Surprise surprise – yet another of Meghan’s big projects has flopped. This time it’s a film called Cookie Queens which is about America’s Girl Scouts. The film grossed a piddling £257,000 in its opening weekend. In the same week a film called Catfest, which is just a load of cat clips, pulled in £500,000.
Conclusion? America’s done with her. I’m guessing this will mean more overtures to the King about them coming back here? Brace yourselves…

The Royal Family, like all of us, are not perfect. But there are two royals who seem to be getting certain things right, with their approach explaining just why they get on so well with Prince William and Princess Catherine.
These royals are, unsurprisingly to some, Prince Edward and Duchess Sophie. While they were not really given much attention by royal fans for years, their popularity over the last few years seems to have shot up like a rocket. And the praise they now get is thoroughly well-deserved.
As well as excelling in their royal duties, no doubt making Edward’s brother King Charles proud, they also seem to be excelling as parents too.

Meghan Markle’s brand had more online visitors to its website than King Charles’s Highgrove shop website had last month, it has been revealed. The Duchess of Sussex, who launched her lifestyle brand As Ever last year, seems to be thriving in the business world.
This is because, since it launched last year, it has had a number of successful product launches, including complete sell-outs. It now appears that Meghan’s brand is also doing well in terms of its website traffic, receiving more views than King Charles III’s Highgrove Gardens shop. This does not mean that As Ever got more sales than the Highgrove shop, but it does mean more people viewed the website.

Prince William issues personal ‘thank you’ message after heart-wrenching devastation
Prince William personally thanked emergency services for their heroic efforts to battle the wildfires that have been devastasting the UK in recent days. In a emotional message published on X today, the Prince of Wales wrote: “To the firefighters, emergency responders and volunteers battling wildfires across the UK, thank you.
“Our thoughts are with everyone affected, particularly those who have lost their homes, and with those working tirelessly to protect communities, homes and the countryside.” The heir to the throne signed off his message with his initial, W. This shows that the message was personally written by William.
King Charles’s request to Princess Kate that left Prince William ‘fuming’
Prince William was left fuming after King Charles and Queen Camilla requested that Princess Kate make a huge name change, according to a royal expert. Christopher Andersen, in his new biography, Kate! The Courage, Grace, and Power of the Woman Who Will Be Queen, explained that Charles and Camilla suggested Kate change the spelling of her first name from Catherine to Katherine.
“Charles and Camilla each had a royal monogram that consisted of interlocking C’s beneath a crown, and they expressed concern that a third royal cypher with a C was overkill,” the author wrote.

Princess Anne celebrates her 76th birthday today – here are 9 of her best moments
Princess Anne will have plenty of reasons to celebrate today as she marks her 76th birthday. The Princess Royal, the second child and only daughter of the late Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, was born on August 15, 1950.
Anne has become a detrimental member of the Royal Family, with several royal fans describing her as the “best Queen we never had”. She has also been dubbed the Firm’s “secret weapon” due to her devotion to duty and the public’s perception of her. Here, the Daily Express looks back at some of her best moments as we wish her a very happy birthday.
