Strictly Come Dancing’s George Clarke was overcome with emotion after receiving a touching message just hours before the final.
The YouTuber and TikTok sensation has reached the final and will be competing against West End performer Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, as well as former England footballer Karen Carney and Carlos Gu on Saturday (December 20) evening.
In his quest to claim the Glitterball trophy, George and professional partner Alexis Warr, who joined the Strictly pro lineup for the first time this year, will perform their Showdance to Human by The Killers.
They’ll also showcase a Viennese Waltz to Somebody to Love by Queen for their Judges’ Choice. Meanwhile, their Favourite Dance features a Paso Doble to Game of Survival by Ruelle, reports Wales Online.
Prior to their performance, George and Alexis featured on Friday’s (December 19) It Takes Two to discuss their Strictly journey and preview their weekend routines.

However, the moment became deeply moving when George was brought to tears by a heartwarming video message from his family.
Host Fleur East revealed: “We have seen your confidence blossom and grow throughout the series and the people closest to you have seen that too. This is what they made of your Strictly experience.”
The programme then showed a video compilation featuring his sister Emily, Auntie Sally and cousin Tori. Emily shared: “It’s so nice to see him blossom into this confident, funny boy that he is now.
“I think it has given us something to look forward to in quite a tricky end of our year. As the experience has gone on George has become a lot more open and letting his emotions out.”

Sally also added her thoughts: “You sit back and think about it and you still can’t believe it.”
Following the emotional clip, George was seen wiping away tears as he admitted: “Sorry. I don’t think we have thought about it and we have tried not to this week and I think that is why we have enjoyed the process so much.”
Visibly emotional, he struggled to articulate his feelings: “Because we have been so present.. sorry this is awful…” He managed to continue: “Because we have been so present and just focused each week, I’ve really enjoyed that.”
He concluded with: “It would be incredible to lift the Glitterball Trophy. No matter if we go home with the Glitterball or not, it will be a week of celebration afterwards.”
