King Charles has been described as appearing noticeably more relaxed during a recent public engagement, despite a turbulent period surrounding the Royal Family.
The monarch travelled to the Cairngorms in Scotland earlier this week, where he met volunteers, firefighters and community leaders involved in responding to the devastating Glenmore and Abernethy wildfires.

“His posture is very relaxed, with his shoulders down and no obvious signs of tension or stress,” he said.
Stanton also pointed to what he interpreted as slower breathing and calm movements while Charles interacted with people during the engagement.
“His breathing appears slower and more controlled, and when he’s interacting with people, his movements are calm and unhurried,” he said.
The observations are Stanton’s interpretation of the King’s body language rather than an assessment of Charles’s private emotional or medical state.
The expert added that Charles appeared comfortable in his surroundings.
“There’s no sense that he feels out of his depth or uncomfortable in the environment,” Stanton said.
“He looks like someone who is genuinely enjoying himself and feels very much at home.”

Stanton also highlighted what he described as “genuine smiles” during the visit.
He contrasted the appearance with gestures he claimed had been more noticeable during some previous engagements.

He suggested this represented a notable change in the King’s public presentation.
Stanton went further by offering his interpretation that Charles now “doesn’t feel the need to perform or justify himself anymore”.
