One social media user stirred the pot after the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton, returned to Wimbledon over the weekend.
Kate stepped out to take in the women’s singles final between America’s Amanda Ansimova and Poland’s Iga Swiatek; she later presented Swiatek with the trophy following her dominant win.
Middleton turned heads when she got there as she headed for the royal box at Centre Court, having gotten there wearing a white top belted around a cream pleated skirt.
X user Matt Wallace got everyone’s attention after posting a video of the arrival with the mysterious caption, “KATE MIDDLETON ARRIVES AT WIMBLEDON. WHAT DO YOU NOTICE?”

“She seems to have left her wedding ring off,” someone else observed.
“She is looking healthy and beautiful after a very private cancer battle,” said a third.
The post also generated a Community Note reading, “I notice engagement farming. Something this user is notorious for.”

Kate Middleton’s appearance at the final comes not long after she opened up on her ordeal getting back to normal following her cancer treatment.
The 43-year-old has been a regular over the years, even before she was appointed patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club by Queen Elizabeth in 2016.
She has attended every year since marrying Prince William in 2011, except in 2013, when she was pregnant, and when it was canceled in 2020 due to COVID-19.
