ABSOLUTELY ADORABLEJimmy Kimmel Becomes GRANDPA For The First Time And His Daughter’s BABY Has A SURPRISINGLY SWEET Name That’s MELTING Hearts Everywhere
Jimmy Kimmel is officially a grandpa!
On the May 20 episode of “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” the late night host revealed his 33-year-old daughter, Katie Kimmel, welcomed her first child with husband Will Logsdon.
“You know, we were supposed to have a show last night, but we didn’t because my daughter had a baby last night,” he shared to a cheering crowd.
“The baby is healthy. They gave her a very cute name,” Kimmel added before revealing the baby’s adorable moniker. “…Her name is Patti.”

Kimmel later added that Patti’s middle name is Joan, which is his mother’s name.
As Kimmel reflected on being a new grandpa, the late night host noted it’s “a big responsibility to be a grandfather” before recalling some hilarious things his grandparents used to do.
Kimmel revealed that his grandfather on his father’s side used to use a police siren to cut through traffic, even though he wasn’t a police officer. “He was an elevator operator,” he noted.
He also shared that his mom’s dad would “give himself haircuts with a cigarette lighter” and wore his wife’s dentures after she died.
After listing other quirky things he recalled his grandparents doing when he was growing up, Kimmel joked that he now has to “figure out something weird to teach my grandkids.”

After taking a few moments to explain his abrupt cancellation on May 19, which he confirmed was due to the birth of his granddaughter, Kimmel became a bit more serious, saying he’s concerned with the type of world his granddaughter is coming into.
“It is kind of scary though to bring a child into this world,” he said. “And say, ‘OK you’re in this now at least until the year 2100. Good luck!'”
Listing “climate change” and “AI” as things kids growing up have to now worry about, Kimmel joked that the “most dangerous scenario that the future had when I was a kid was quicksand, the Bermuda triangle and killer bees.”
“That was the trio of terror for me. Still haven’t seen a hint of any of those things,” he said with a laugh.
Kimmel shares Katie and his son, Kevin, 31, with his ex-wife, Gina, and he’s also a proud dad to his two young kids, Jane, 10, and Billy, 8, whom he shares with his wife, Molly.
