Angel Reese suffered yet another wrist injury as her Rose BC coach Nola Henry provided only a minimal status update following her team’s massive Unrivaled victory

Rose BC star Angel Reese left during the third quarter against Vinyl BC on Monday after hurting her left wrist, the same one that caused her WNBA season to end for the Chicago Sky in early September.

The severity of the injury is still unclear as Rose BC coach Nola Henry provided minimal information on the Unrivaled star. “No update on Angel, but hopefully, we’ll have one soon. sending her our best wishes,” she revealed.

In Rose BC’s final regular season game, Reese scored 10 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in 13 minutes of action during the blowout 74-46 blowout victory. Reese, despite being younger than most, has been one of Unrivaled’s standout players, averaging 13.1 points and 12.1 rebounds a night for the second-seeded team.

The 22-year-old LSU standout suffered a scary hairline fracture to her left wrist in early September. The Sky were hanging in playoff contention at the time of her departure but quickly sunk to the bottom of the standings with Reese out.

“I fell on my hand when I got the and-1, when I fell back [and] fell on my hand, and it is a small crack in my bone,” Reese informed fans of her injury via her TikTok.

“Basically, the doctors told me that I could either not get surgery or have surgery. The risk of not having surgery — I could literally have arthritis at 22 years old.

“That wasn’t an option. The bone could literally crack and completely shatter. Right now, it’s like a hairline… They’re going to put a small screw in it. And I wasn’t going for it getting any bigger. Long term, I literally could have not played anymore because this is a very hard place to heal because the blood flow is little to none.”

Reese, who recorded the second-most rebounds in a single WNBA season while averaging 13.9 points a night, was in contention for the league’s Rookie of the Year along with Caitlin Clark when she went down.

Clark was effusive in her praise of Reese when news of the injury was announced. “It’s definitely sad whenever you see anyone go down with an injury, especially people that you came into this league with,” Clark told reporters. “You want to see her finish out this year. Obviously, she’s had a historic year, and she’s done some incredible things.”
