PAMELA Anderson and Liam Neeson have been seen making out in a steamy on-air moment with Today host Craig Melvin forced to ask the actors ‘are you an item?’

Liam, 73 and Pamela, 58, have sparked romance rumors during press of their new movie Naked Gun, as they have done little to put speculation to bed.

Appearing on Today with host Craig Melvin on Tuesday, Pamela and Liam were grilled about their “budding relationship.”

Before they were interviewed, the pair were seen “making out” behind the scenes of the program.

‘WHAT’S THE DEAL?’

Then, during their interview, Craig cheekily asked the duo, “What’s the deal here?

“You’re both single, right now? There’s clearly chemistry on display throughout this film. Are you two an item?”

Pamela and Liam began to blush and mumble before answering.

Liam said, “Craig, Craig, Craig,” while shaking his head.

Pamela then coyly said, “What? I don’t understand the question,” sounding completely taken aback.

Taken actor Liam then explained how he had never met Pamela before, adding, “We have a lovely budding chemistry.”

Pamela agreed as she said, “Yeah.”

Liam then said, “I’m just like, ooh, this is nice, let’s not mold this, let’s let it breathe.”

Craig then said that “America is here for it, we’re here for whatever this turns into.”

The host then changed topic of conversation with Liam and Pamela both looking a little rosy-cheeked.

SMITTEN DISPLAY IN NYC

This comes after the pair stepped out last night in New York, for the US premiere of the hit flick, which first hit screens in 1988, starring Leslie Nielsen.

Held at the School for the Visual Arts theatre in the Big Apple, the leading actor and actress gazed at one another while standing together at the glitzy event.

The Naked Gun duo were even joined on the red carpet by their children.

Pamela has two sons, Brandon, 29, and Dylan, 27, with her ex-husband Tommy Lee.

Meanwhile, Liam has two sons, Micheál, 29, and Daniel, 28, with his late wife, actress Natasha Richardson, who sadly died in 2009.
