FOX News’ Peter Doocy and his wife Hillary Vaughn have welcomed their second child after an intense 30 hours of labor.
Doocy and Vaughn, who became first time parents in 2023 with the birth of their daughter Bridget, announced the birth of George Jack Doocy in a touching Instagram post.

Doocy said his new son, who weighs nearly 9 pounds and is 20.5 inches long, was born on April 16, which is the couple’s fourth wedding anniversary.
“So thank you, son, for being the reason I’ll never forget to get your mom a card when I’m grabbing a birthday card for you,” the White House correspondent said in the sweet post.
The Fox News star posted a carousel of pictures showing the happy couple holding little George while they relaxed at home.
Bridget also grinned for pictures with her new brother while proudly donning a dress that had “big sister” emblazoned on the collar.
Hard-working Vaughn, who is a correspondent for Fox Business Network, said she was on Capitol Hill reporting on the IRS for Tax Day when she learned it was time to head to the hospital.
She had an appointment with her OB, who told her that the little boy was “ready to come out,” she told People.
“Maybe he was tired of hearing me talk about taxes – I don’t blame him,” said the new mom.
“I’m glad Peter took care of our taxes early this year!”
In her first few days as a “boy-mom,” Vaughn has admitted that there’s a learning curve to having a son.
She said, “Never let your guard down during diaper changes, otherwise you’ll be ‘baptized.'”

Vaughn has been touched by how excited Bridget was to become a big sister and described her newfound motherhood as a “blessing.”
“Growing our family means giving our kids lifelong best friends and as a new heartbeat fills our home, our hearts are filled with more love than ever before,” she said.
Doocy shared his wife’s excitement for their growing family and revealed that Bridget actually sang Happy Birthday in the hospital when she first saw her brother.
The reporter’s dad Steve Doocy, who is a host on Fox & Friends, said George was born just hours after a bird attacked his son live on air.
“I woke up my wife Kathy, who listened, paused for a moment and said, ‘That bird that hit Peter – was it a stork?'” Steve joked.
“That night Peter went home, shampooed his hair to get the dirty bird out, and Hillary went into labor sometime after the cream rinse.”
‘BEAUTIFUL FAMILY’
Friends and followers shared their congratulations and sent love to the parents after they welcomed the little miracle.
“So happy for you both! Two of the most honest reporters in the media today! Congratulations on the precious blessing of your baby boy,” wrote one follower on Instagram.
Another person described them as a “beautiful family” as they said “mazel tov.”
“Congratulations to you and your precious family! Enjoy this precious time together,” wrote another fan.
The birth of the Fox News power couple’s newborn came after Doocy and Vaughn revealed last December that they were expecting a baby boy.
“Good tidings of great joy… we are having a BOY!” Doocy captioned an Instagram post that included a picture of the family setting up their Christmas tree as well as their daughter’s list to Santa.
Their toddler’s request to Santa read, “Dear Santa, baby brother please! Bridget.”
