BBC Breakfast’s Jon Kay returned to our TV screens on Tuesday Morning as he presented the day’s top stories alongside co-host Sally Nugent
BBC Breakfast host Jon Kay issued a warning to co-star Carol Kirkwood live on-air as he insisted one guess could cause chaos in the studio.
During Tuesday’s (November 25) episode of the hit show, the host returned to our TV screens alongside co-star Sally Nugent as they presented the day’s top stories from the UK and across the globe.
The duo were later joined by Carol, who was in the studio to present her usual weather segment, however as she finished presenting the day’s forecast, Jon pointed out that the stars had to be on the lookout for their upcoming guest.
They were set to welcome a “huge dog” so he warned his co-star to eat their breakfasts fast to avoid the animal taking it. Jon started off by asking: “Have you got any toast or cereal?” Carol replied: “No but I could smell yours and it’s making me really hungry.”
“We’ve been eating ours just now, getting it out of the way because there is a huge dog on the way in a moment,” Jon explained.

Sally confirmed: “Huge.” Jon then insisted: “You have been warned.” Sally jumped in: “We’ve just had to hide our breakfast.” Everyone burst out laughing as Jon pointed to his belly and added: “I’ve hidden it in here.”
The heartwarming segment saw the presenters talk about ‘hero dogs’ after one man’s four-year-old dog helped save his life.
Jon explained: “We’ve got an amazing story. Adam Cooke went into cardiac rest while he was asleep, it was the quick thinking of his four year old day Polly that helped save his life.”
Sally continued: “The beautiful Golden Retriever woke up Adam’s wife Hannah, who then carried out CPR before an ambulance arrived.”

The show then cut to a pre-recorded clip of the couple and their dog as they opened up on the emotional moment.
Adam and Hannah admitted that they were convinced that Polly sensed Adam was very ill and raised the alarm.
Visibly moved, Adam opened up the moment he was reunited with Polly after returning home from hospital: “I’m not going to shy away from it. I cried and I think she cried too because she was like ‘wow you’re back home’”.
Hannah added: “I love her to bits and I think she is the best dog in the world.”
BBC Breakfast airs everyday from 6am on BBC One and iPlayer
