On Thursday night, the Gossip Girl actress appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers to discuss her new film Another Simple Favor, that has left Amazon Prime Video viewers “traumatized” and comparing it to Knives Out 3. During the interview, Meyers couldn’t resist alluding to the dispute that led her to hire a former CIA executive.

In the middle of a discussion about her children, she referred to having an “intense year,” leading Seth to admit he isn’t as “informed about it as other people.”

“I’m glad you’re not doing Weekend Update right now because you would be quite informed,” she quipped, referring to the Saturday Night Live segment that highlighted her legal troubles a few months back.

Seth confessed he’d like to “ask about it” but understands if she’s hesitant given she’s in a “situation where you can’t say much.”
Blake then chose to address the “pretty simple thing,” stating: “Yeah, I mean, what I can say without going too into it is that this year has been full of the highest highs and lowest lows of my life.”
Despite the rollercoaster of emotions over the past few months, Blake is pleased that she was able to convey a message to her fans. “I see so many women around afraid to speak, especially right now,” she expressed. “Afraid to share their experiences.”
Blake empathizes with others as she continued, “Fear is by design. It’s what keeps us silent.”

The actress further expressed gratitude for her ability to speak out, saying, “I also acknowledge that many people don’t have the opportunity to speak.”
She added, “I do feel fortunate that I’ve been able to.”
She continued by highlighting the importance of vocal women in her life, “It’s the women who have had the ability to use their voice that’s kept me strong and helped me in my belief and my fight for the world to be safer for women and girls.”

After suffering from alleged incidents on the set of the drama film It Ends With Us, the actress filed a lawsuit in December 2024, accusing Justin of sexual harassment, aiding and abetting harassment, and intentionally causing emotional distress. Baldoni has rejected these allegations and shot back with a hefty $400 million defamation suit against his accuser and her spouse Ryan Reynolds.
The legal battle’s latest another twist comes from their co-star Adam Mondschein, who disputes the portrayal of events described by Blake.
He told Page Six, “I’m not going to speculate as to Ms. Lively’s motivations for mentioning me in the complaint. Needless to say, my experience working with her is very different than the one she described in her lawsuit.”
