Though Taiki and Chinatsu’s chemistry and adorable moments steal the show, with many fans hoping for them to end up together, the mangaka’s recent opinion may not bring the happy news many are expecting.
In an interview with Kouji Miura, translated by Reddit user ProtectionPast6779, the mangaka reveals that he never actually intended for the two to end up together. He shared:
I don’t think that the goal is for Taiki and Chinatsu to get together. On the contrary, I think it is more difficult after they get together. Since this is a weekly serialization, I try to include developments that take place before the readers think of them, such as the timing of the hugs.
Kouji Miura’s revelation may be heartbreaking for many fans who were hoping the two lovebirds would end up together in the series’ future.
