It seems Boris Johnson is on a roll today as he has been seen exiting not one but two television interviews today, with Piers Morgan reminiscing over their previous ‘fridge’ incident
Boris Johnson has “ran out” of his second interview of the day,
Hours after he sent Good Morning Britain into chaos by walking out abruptly during an interview, Piers Morgan has revealed former Prime Minister Boris walked out during another chat with him. His second in five years.
Posting on X, formerly Twitter, Piers shared a series of screenshots that appeared to show Boris speaking into an earpiece in one frame, before exiting the screen in the next. Piers captioned his post: “UPDATE: Five years after he ran into a fridge to avoid being interviewed by me, Boris Johnson finally agreed to do one today, and ended up running away again… drops on PiersUncensored tonight.”
The infamous ‘fridge’ incident occurred in 2019 when Boris was approached by Good Morning Britain producer, Jonathan Swain. Trying to engage with the then Tory leader, the reporter asked: “Morning prime minister, would you come on Good Morning Britain, prime minister?” Johnson’s aide, press secretary, Rob Oxley, could then be heard mouthing “oh for f***’s sake” in response.

During the exchange, reporter Johnathan Swain asks the PM if he will come on the programme and “deliver on your promise to talk to Piers and Susanna”. Pressing Boris for an answer, the father-of-eight replied: “I’ll be with you in a second.” He then walked off, with Piers exclaiming “he’s gone into the fridge”.
A camera crew followed the former PM as he could be seen disappearing behind stacks of milk crates and into the large fridge at the delivery depot. A Tory source later stressed no one “hid in a fridge”.

“I’m actually being pushed and shoved at the moment as well by one of the minders,” Mr Swain said, as the cameras were ushered away. Piers tweeted following the incident: “Cowardice is never a good look.”
Earlier today, Monday 24th February, Boris threw Good Morning Britain into chaos when he suddenly exited a live interview with hosts Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley live from Kyiv exactly three years since Russia invaded Ukraine.
Admitting she was surprised to see Boris in the warzone as world leaders try to decide what do about the country’s ongoing problems with Russia, Susanna said: “This is a bit of surprise that you’ve turned up in Kyiv. It’s a big day, of course, because world leaders are having this call about what to do about Ukraine. What do you think should happen?”

Suggesting comments about Ukraine being to blame for the war after Trump accused leader Zelenskyy of ‘talking the US into spending $350 on aid’ for the country were “rubbish”, Boris announced he believes the minerals agreement between the US and Ukraine is close to being signed.
“That commits the US not only to future financing of Ukraine but also a free, sovereign and secure Ukraine under Donald trump,” he said, adding: “That is not to be sneezed at, it’s a very important commitment,” – before dramatically ending the interview.
“Anyways, I’ve got to love you and leave you,” Boris muttered while wrestling with his ear piece. However, keen to carry on the conversation, Richard interjected: “As a former prime minister, how do you deal with an American president who says that black is white. How do you talk to him?” Clearly in a hurry, Boris replied: “You have to keep knocking the ball back over the net”.
The politician then removed all his equipment and walked out of the shot as Susanna said: “Thank you very much indeed for your time this morning. Just disentangling himself from our microphone and off he goes.”
Susanna and Richard interrupted Good Morning Britain today to deliver the breaking news from Boris, as Susanna announced: “Former Prime Minister Boris Johnson tells this programme there is a deal to be done over Ukraine, and now is the time for the UK to step up in negotiations with the US to end.”
