Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was reportedly taken out of his cell at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn on Thursday night and rushed to hospital to undergo an MRI
Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was rushed to hospital on Thursday night to undergo an MRI scan, according to reports.
The 55-year-old rapper is currently being held in the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn following his arrest in September. He is facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy and transportation to engage in prostitution.
Combs has vehemently denied all allegations against him and pleaded not guilty in court. As he awaits trial, a source has claimed Diddy left the MDC and was taken to hospital at around 10 p.m. on Thursday night. It was not immediately known why he was taken to hospital.
However, a source confirmed the Bad Boy Records founder had not been involved in any altercation inside the prison. They said he had sought medical help because his “knee was bothering him.”

Speaking to The New York Post, the source said Diddy was taken to the hospital late in the night in order to avoid speculation from other inmates or prison staff. He’s not believed to have stayed overnight in the hospital and reportedly returned to his cell following the scan.
A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson told the publication, “For privacy, safety, and security reasons we do not comment on the conditions of confinement for anyone in our custody to include medical status or medical trips.”
The Mirror US has approached Combs’ attorneys and the Metropolitan Detention Center for comment. Combs does have a history of knee issues.
Indeed, in 2017, he underwent his third knee surgery in a year. His issues were said to have started after he ran the New York Marathon.
Combs’ hospital dash comes after he denied allegations made in a new indictment against him. The latest indictment was filed against Diddy by federal prosecutors in New York on Thursday.
Prosecutors have accused the musician of transporting three women “with intent that the individuals engage in prostitution.” The superseding indictment doesn’t charge Diddy with new crimes, but rather alleges new conduct.
The documents alleged he “willfully caused the transportation of female victims, including but not limited to Victim-1, Victim-2, and Victim-3, and commercial sex workers in interstate and foreign commerce on multiple occasions.” The indictment also alleged he “engaged in a persistent and pervasive pattern of abuse toward women.”
Diddy’s lawyer Marc Agnifilo has responded to the new indictment. He accused the prosecutors of making an error in the documents.
“The latest Indictment contains no new offenses,” Agnifilo said in a statement shared with The Mirror US. “The prosecution’s theory remains flawed.”
He continued, “The government has added the ridiculous theory that two of Mr. Combs’ former girlfriends were not girlfriends at all but were prostitutes. Mr. Combs is as committed as ever to fighting these charges and winning at trial.”
